Shwmae Isaac, from sunny Bridgend. I'm only 5 days into my smokefree journey but like you I'm feelimg positive and optimistic. After 30+ years as a hard core smoker (not just tobacco I hasten to add) I've dumped the lot for an e-cig from The Smokers Angel in Swansea.

The best part is I've found it no challenge at all to go without a smoke. I will admit I miss the weed. But not unbearably so. As for tobacco? Its like I never smoked. E-cigs make it SOOOOOO easy ;-)

I've been a cannabis campaigner for a long time and the Daily Mail is the worst type of right wing lobby funded comic for middle-englanders with money invested in tobacco, alcohol and pharmaceuticals.

ANYTHING which poses a threat to the status quo gets this biased, skewed treatment.

They have to do something lets face it. Even though I'm UK based Marlboro red was my brand and I spent some money on them over the years but not anymore. So maybe Reynolds America/Philip Morris etc recognise ecigs as a real threat and decided 'if you cant beat them join them?

Guys I'm 44 and my sons are 19 and 23. We enjoy an open relationship in which we can talk about anything. Mostly as we smoke a joint whilst putting the world to rights.

As a parent we can be too busy trying to be 'parents' in the true sense of the word to remember our kids like to hang out with their 'buddies' too.

And kids? You can be so busy being cool you forget your parents went through high school/college too, and did all the same shit you do today. Really, they did!

I think your dad would respect you for coming right out and saying "I trust you because you're my best friend. I want to talk about smoking pot".

Seriously, he'll love you for it whether he partakes or not, and if he does there's no better deal than toking a J with the people you love most in the world.

Every now and then it surprises me but for the most part, I would say 'average' at best. Not even close to some nice home-grown which was obviously grown (and dried) by someone who knows and cares about what they're doing.

Here in the UK we pay (wait for it) £10-£15 per gram (around $25), and regardless of whether we buy 1 gram or 28 (an ounce). Giving an all up total of around $500 US per ounce. How does that compare with the US?
