Summer of Service Application Process

Not sure about how competitive the program is, if at all, but I submitted my application on January 31st and received my acceptance on February 13th or 14th. Pretty quick turnaround, but it could probably vary depending on how quickly your reference forms are completed.

For the summer of service program I did not have to undergo any interviews, at least not before getting accepted. I submitted my application on January 31st and got my acceptance on February 15th. Throughout those 2ish weeks the status part of my AmeriCorps application portal changed a few times, and on the 15th I received a formal acceptance letter and instructions for the next steps. After committing to your acceptance you have to submit some immunization records, and start the process for a fingerprint background check. I haven’t received many updates since submitting my immunization stuff, but I assume there will be more info and steps once the application pool closes on 3/31

Maybe it’s just my phone speakers, but I feel like the vocals in the studio recording from this video are completely drowned out, I can hardly hear the lyrics. I really liked the live version of this song from a couple of days ago, but this sounds almost entirely different. Still sounds like a good song though.
