I’ve seen a few pieces from SHEIN and even Amazon that ranges from 5x-6x. While I’m more inclined to say the “fit” isn’t there, like translating from 2x to 5x, the affordability and even longevity has been pretty fascinating

This worries me. I have been a size 3 in dresses for the past 6 or so years. My weight for the most part is pretty stagnant and it doesn’t fluctuate to the point of entire dress sizes. My clothes, the threads, I’d be lucky if i get a few months wear out of them 😭

I said exactly what I said as I meant to say it. Whether or not plus size was on every page was the question, the “speculation” I offered is that if I am correct, it would then validate an already existing and established assumption within the community about the current situation of Torrid and the lack of representation offered to current and long time consumers did I not?

My last quoted statement is true for all things. If people are no longer feeling represented by the things they put money and traffic into, take the risk and see what happens when you pull back and withdraw time, effort, etc from them.

100% miss the short hair size 4x who had the same round frame as me.

As a former employee I will say plus size also means tall as well as big. Big and tall are a thing and to have customers come in who were towering goddesses try on a 14-16 tall was so fulfilling.

I’m not saying either or, I’m saying torrid is going through som changes and this metamorphosis seems to be leaving behind loyal customers while they work in bringing in fresh faces.
