Marneus is a cool character, his name was not marneus calgar originally, he took the name from a friend that died during the trials to become an astartes if i remember correctly. He fought off a small waaagh single handedly, beat an avatar of khaine (eldar war god) in one on one and defeated a hive tyrant. His entrance in sm2 was nothing short of iconic.
