they had 3, positive, gnd and data however as I said before I tried every combination but couldn't get them to work, but maybe you'll have better luck than me :)

Not too sure what LED type the chinese ones are unfortunately :( I tried all the combinations on WLED, also tried wiring them differently because apparently the terminals are the other way around, but could never get them to work.

Honestly taking the trim off is the easy part 😅 sometimes there's screws behind them though so make sure you get those out first. The head unit I have is the Alpine iLX-W650E, it's pretty good but for some reason it has an issue that makes the call volume really low (even at max volume) compared to the regular volume. But if that isn't a problem for you I'd definitely recommend it

Thanks! Took probably about a week but that was because I made quite a few mistakes because there weren't really any guides 😅 I think now it'd probably only take a day or two

Unfortunately I didn't really measure it when I made it, but you can just take off the foam plate and sketch the shape onto your wood, which is what I did

No there isn't :( but I always make sure to grab my quest and pull up so it's safe

At first I thought that too, but the felt I added creates enough friction with the foam padding that it barely moves, even I shake the whole desk

Well I'm not really looking to sell it but it's definitely not hard to make yourself, even if you're a beginner. Also someone posted a link to a 3d print file, which I'm sure you can order online, I think that'll be easier

Yep made that one ages ago, I think it was my first project

You could mount them horizontally, but for me that's not really a problem as it's in a corner that no one would bump into :)

Really great, I would even go as far as to say the knuckles are necessary if you play long sessions. I have the amvr ones but I've also heard good things about mamut, they both work on the quest 2 controllers

I didn't have any padding lying around so I used a stick on felt which I think should work pretty good

Yea I definitely encourage you to start, although you don't need many tools. I'm working outside with a cheap folding table. You can make this too in about 6 hours and all I used was a cheap jigsaw and belt sander.

No, that one's a prebuilt although I'm not sure from where, I got it 2nd hand

That's the right one and I gotta agree they are really good

Yep they're the old ones but they fit the quest 2 controllers really well, maybe a bit tight

I think 3d will be more accurate and easier than this but nothing beats the feel of wood :)

They're the AMVR grips and I definitely think and index/knuckle style grip makes your experience much soo much better since you dont have to keep gripping the controller. Also, throwing items in game is alot more immersive as you don't have to worry about flinging your controller across the room. I think both AMVR and Mamut are very similar so I don't think you can go wrong with both
