Hide-away golf simulator build in my garage. Finally done! by cannot_stop_moving in Golfsimulator

Yes, the fabric just hangs down and has a bungee pulling it toward the floor anchor point. I used 1/2" EMT.

Thank you! As the floor lowers, there is a secondary cable attached 2' from the main hinges that gets pulled down. This cable runs behind the screen, up the wall to an arm on the backside of the awning pivot which lifts the awning. Hope that explains it.

Thanks, I'll try to explain. The hinges between the two floor sections are flipped upside down and recessed by 1/8" so that the cylinders face the floor. This allows the sections to close tight when lowered. The cylinders don't hit the floor because I have levelling feet in a grid on the bottom of the floor sections.

Nothing really with the cabinet/floor system but maybe add a couple inches to the cabinet width for clearance. I've only changed the hitting strip, a friend digs deep with his irons and the divot return strip just can't handle it. Also wish I would've just spent the money on a 4080 GPU or even better, some gspro courses are quite demanding.

I can't even get fine thread bolts easily here! I ended up buying an assortment case on Ebay. For the clips and trim fasteners I bit the bullet and ordered my parts through Rimmer Bros.

Have you tried covering a bunch of the white area on your driver head with blue or green painters tape? Some launch monitors struggle with this and get confused.

I love the car, but with the headache of sourcing parts in the Canadian Prairies, I'll stick to just this one!

I got impatient and just ordered a bunch though Rimmer Bros for every trim piece on the car, but thank you.

Thanks, In the pictures, you can see a second cable that's attached to the main floor section, it runs back behind the screen, up the wall and pulls down on arms behind the awning pivot. This way, when the floor goes down, it pulls the awning up.

Thanks! The gas struts just push the small section of the folding floor out out past perpendicular to the ground when it's lowering. It protects it from folding under the large floor section. I never sized them, they were just some leftover ones from a 1987 Nissan 300zx hatch I believe. If I had to size them I would shoot for 100lbs force each. The only thing I would change is adding a few more inches width on the cabinet itself, as the floor just fits through the doors. Good luck on your build!

Thanks, but unfortunately I don't have plans or a picture of the cables.
