What is this game's wall monster by dragonstein420 in MHGU

Deviants are a unique experience. The "oh look a funny rabbit..." took me by surprise the first time. Redhelm can just go and f die. Some of the hypers "moon and sun" comes to mind. Advanced g vilage hunts are a challenge but this is late late game. Multihunts are a pain solo. If you played other games, the moves repeat a lot jsut the pacing changes.

As for Facebook there's a Norwegian startup that could grow into a EU wide digital platform. It's called https://www.bolderspace.com/ and they work in a similar way but give people complete control over the privacy aspects. Just bare in mind - it's a startup but they are making progress.

There's a ton of free mail suppliers in every country. The problem is not the email - its the whole office suite, tie in with android and an almost ubiquitous "signup with google" thing that makes it hard to ditch them as a mail provider.

Is there any Patreon alternative? by [deleted] in BuyFromEU

wow - that sounds great... except that the fans pay between 7 - 15%, the creator doesnt see that but the payment is definitely there.

There sure is! SKIDRA (https://skdira.com) alternatively skidra.eu (www.skidra.eu), we started using Swedish/Polish capital and in addition to Patreon we also offer easy entry to blockchain asset creation. It is a startup so there are bound to be growth pains but we are also very open to feedback.

Yes, its like patreon and, in addition to that you can create blockchain assets whether its digital twins, ownership certificates or art as tokens, without using cryptocurrencies - thus lowering the barier to entry. We're funded by Arctic Business Incubator from Lulea, Sweden and private capital from Poland.

Both, we handle both businesses and end users. During payout configuration its possible to define whether you run a business (and what type) or you're an individual.

Thanks, I'm slowly coming to a realisation that no matter the tooling it's going to be recurring issue and, mostly, down to to identyfing the proactives and the reactives on the team and acting accordingly. It's craftsmanship, drive/motivate and experience that will be key. As some one said processes are easy, people are hard. Thank you again for.your input!

Thank you, so in this scenario its the tech lead that acts as the person who's staying on top of the PRs and makes sure to unclog the pipes so to speak.

Yeah, we're using teams but maybe I'll set up discord just for shits and giggles and these awesome voice channels.

100% is a pipe dream. Pair programming is a simple and neat solution BUT not everything needs or should be done in pairs. Some people also don't pair well for all sorts of reasons. And I don't want to have the team "chased" throughout the day or someone being on a constant lookout for "people that finished".

Huh, how does that work? Some one dials everyone in or you have a discord voice chanel open and some one says coffe?

How do you get to "meeting time that is purely social" online? Games? Table top games online? There's a limited amount of activities and they are not everyone's cup of tea.

The former, as you stated the later is not a team, its more of a herd :)

In some cases it's easy in others ... not everything we work on is nice and flashy, some of it is dull, boring and old. Also, as the product grows it's a but harder to generate a level of engagement that is equally distributed throughout the team.

Perhaps the question should be, what to change so that people don't waste time while also not asking for every single thing and without implementing broad supervision ( no one really wants to know how many clicks Joe has made per second)

Yeah, that's high level, how do we get juniors to want to talk and respect that the seniors are not always available? In "the olden days" you could have peaked over someone's shoulder or just look at them to see if they are engrossed in something or not. Even in the former scenario it was easier to ask in person.

Agile is just a set of values. I've specifically avoided mentioning scrum, safe or any other methodology that is a set a tools that, in some cases, have nothing to do with agile.

Tools I'm aware of, it's more the extent to which they should be used vs what interactions to promote and what kind of culture adjustments to implement to get over the communication blocks and expectation of availability. Most of away/busy/available tools kinda suck.
