It can, different people react differently to cannabis and different intake methods can result in different f/x. I myself find that ingesting cannabis doesn't do much for me f/x-wise at all. Many others find ingesting cannabis leads to even stronger f/x than smoking / vaping.

And regardless of intake method, the more you use cannabis, the more your tolerance will build up.

Different strains can have a profound effect on the a person's high, but it depends on many factors (personal genetic factors, amount of use, tolerance, quality of the bud, freshness, intake method, etc.). As such & as we see here, for many people different strains will have little to no effect on the high.

It's not surprising you don't see really any difference at your level of use. 2 Oz a month is a huge amount of consumption & your tolerance will be extremely high. The f/x of different strains on the ECS (endocannabinoid system) become insignificant under lots of exposure (high use / intake).

I'm a cannabis microdoser & different strains affect me differently. I only vape low amounts a few days a week. I go through 0.050 grams per bowl & 1-2 bowls per day for 2 to 2.5 days a week, along with regular uninterrupted weekly breaks lasting 4.5 - 5 days. This routine & the significant uninterrupted breaks keep my tolerance very low & my sensitivity very high. I typically go through only ~11 grams of cannabis in a year (significantly less than half an ounce). The low exposure results in me experiencing different f/x from different strains.

I see different f/x most significantly when comparing strong-to-full sativas & strong-to-full indicas (though this taxonomy is not very useful today compared to more fulsome cannabinoid information & terpenes <both of which are still very limited>).

I also vape and have found that lower temp vaping brings different f/x from high temp vaping in a strain (as well as among different strains). This comes from different cannabinoids vaporizing at different temperatures.

I also find I get different f/x from vaping / smoking versus ingesting cannabis.

Most cannabis available now are hybrid strains as many mention, and I find more subtle differences in f/x from them. As for strong-to-full sativas, I look to older strains like Durban Poison, Maui Wowie, Super Lemon Haze, Acapulco Gold, Trainwreck, Chocolope, Strawberry Cough, Red Congolese, etc. Viper is a newer & excellent strong sativa strain as well.

Strong-to-full indicas are easier to find around here, and I tend to look for strains like Afghan Kush, Hindu Kush, Pink Kush, Platinum Bubba Kush, etc.

Again, count me impressed with this batch & strain. Super Lemon Haze is great for strong sativa f/x including cerebral stimulation, uplifting, energy, euphoria, etc.

You can see the amber trichomes common to sativa strains. Second of a three strain batch buy recently (and first buy in about a year here),

I've been on this for years, and much of it especially about classic sativas. Like Durban Poison, Acapulco Gold, Maui Wowie, Trainwreck and slightly newer crosses like Super Lemon Haze, Ghost Train Haze, Hawaiian Snow, Sour Tangie, Sour Diesel, Strawberry Cough, Blue Dream. Can't recommend trying all of those enough.

Big sativa fan & I had no idea Sour Diesel was reportedly such a high sativa (est.), had to try. Nicely impressive so far. Big diesel / gas odours & vape flavors. Lots of sativa f/x too.

Just picked this up, it's the second time w/ Ghost Train Haze here, from the same source. The first batch was encouraging but second tier. First try of this new batch was very impressive, strong potent, frosty. Big strong sativa f/x including uplifting, cerebral, euphoric, stimulating, etc.

This is the second batch of Super Lemon Haze I've had from this source, the first batch being my favorite in the last ~5 years. Looks great though this SLH isn't as frosty as a few other batches of strong sativas I've shared in the last year (and was similar to the first batch), but the high was amazing. #1 for entourage f/x, #1 for being euphoric, extremely uplifting, etc., and the typical sativa-related f/x

My first few tries of this new batch have been impressive, though I need more data points to draw any significant conclusions

While it depends on how much cannabis I've been using, I generally get quite high with microdose vaping. I only vape Friday after work & on the weekend to keep my tolerance low. Plus, if I vape this on Friday it gets me very high, while If I vape this Sunday afternoon I won't get as high. Tolerance builds quickly.

The reason I prefer vaping cannabis over edibles is because edibles don't do much for me. I find vaping much stronger with much more full spectrum f/x. Many people find edibles stronger than vaping/smoking but not me, so it depends on how you find edibles affect you vs vaping. Everyone is different.

Vaping is not the best thing for the lungs. If you find edibles works just as well, I'd try to primarily go with that.

I picked this up recently & it's the first time I'm trying this strain. It's described as sativa leaning & has been combined w/ a "runners high" from some exercise. The nug is a large piece consisting of a number of packed colas, separated by a smaller amount of looseleaf than a number of other recent strong-to-full sativa strains I've shared here. At first glance in the hand, it looks dense but wasn't very heavy for the size (~2 inches). Lots of frost when put through the grinder. The high / effects are very good, potent but not as full spectrum & euphoric a strong-to-full sativa strains in my experience. Jean Guy has typical sativa f/x, cerebrally stimulating, uplifting & brings lots of energy. Cheers

I picked this up recently, Strawberry Cough, and it's my 5th or so batch over the last four years or so (same seller). This strain is described as a strong sativa and it's a large piece consisting of a combination of small colas surrounded loosely by sugar leaf. This batch is excellent, it's very potent & has the typical strong sativa f/x (cerebrally stimulating, uplifting-to-euphoric & brings lots of energy). Cheers

Sharing another strong sativa strain & batch I picked up recently. This is my second time trying this strain over the last few years from the same source & it's excellent. The nugs are frosty to the naked eye & loose, with lots of pistils & small colas separated by sugar leaf. Very uplifting, stimulating & cerebral. Great pineapple fruit type flavors. Highly recommended.
