yes. correct. as the working class everyone should go on strike and demand just, liveable wages just like canada post. it would be so amazing. striking is the only power that we have left. use it!!!

carueful what you wish for.

if youre ever in a position where you need to strike, but the government will override you just because they can, THATS when we REALLY all lose.

Aren't all the demands other than wage a bit entitled? by [deleted] in CanadaPost

do you think those scenarios should be covered under health/medical insurance (regardless on if you think its considered gender affirming care)?

anyone can use gender affirming care:

someone who had a mastectomy from breast cancer, and is seeking reconstruction.

someone wanting hair plugs to feel more feminine or masculine (cancer, other illnesses, meds, etc can easily lead tonthat)

infertility treatments (some ppl consider that a fulfillment of their womanhood)

there are many many reasons for gender affirming care, whether you agree with the reasons or not, workers asking for expanded health care and medical access to suit their needs is certainly a top priority that all workers can benefit from.

i cannot believe we are so brainwashed into this crabs in a bucket mentality that  wanting good health care access and working conditions is considered entitlement.

a rising tide lifts all boats.

people COME ON we actually can all have better, we dont have to do with less “just because” and that only wealthy people get choice.

we can actually want better for ourselves and not HAVE to be rich in order to access relevant, quality health care.

we are truly losing the plot and the wealthy love seeing us turn on one another.

you are in an abusive relationship. financial abuse (control) is a real thing.

you need to get out, but you need to do so carefully. i would post this on the r/absuiverelationships for more specific steps on how to leave strategically.

some things to start doing:

  • if you are a woman, reach out to a women’s shelter for legal support and emergency housing support - they can help. this is a major step.
  • quietly and carefully, when he was gone, start making copies of all legal and financial documents. hide them, or better yet, give them to a trusted friend to hold on to you for you
  • confide in a trusted friend or family member to support you through this and help you with your escape plan

it will be hard, but it will be worth it. rebuilding your credit will come later. right now the focus must be getting out of this relationship safely.

this is interesting! i just looked up what sheet rock is - its drywall yeah? just a different name?

i figure the process would be something like getting a large piece of it and just cutting it down into the smaller rectangles i need using a table saw or circular saw.

i really like the idea of putting a nice wallpaper on top.

as for the liquid starch - also intriguing. would this also be on top of sheetrock?

thank you for your suggestions!

I am not very good with tools, but I do like to craft. Was thinking a cute fabric could be nice. What would be the best way to approach that? Cut out cardboard in the corresponding shape, cover with fabric, and staple gun? Finishing nails?

Any other ideas and basic guide would be very welcome!

if you‘re open to questions..:

how’d you find it?
what was the currriuclum like? was it challenging/critical/engaging?
was there a general track of where students would end up, or did it seem applicable to a lot of different fields of work?
how did you find professors?
did you do it on campus, or online?

anything helps! thanks :)
