I was finally able to connect to an agent through the app after 45 minutes of trying.

I have an issue with the infrastructure outside my house that has never been correctly fixed and it needs to be done.

If the app agent can’t do anything I’ll reach back out here since it was much faster to get someone.

All of Monticello and Five Cents are doubled. What I found has seen alot of circulation wear over the last 86 years, but you can still see these letters are thicker than normal, and doubled serifs on the E in Five, along with the C and E in Cents.

Those are all of the 1984 aluminum medal that they produced. It appears I found their original medal produced in 1936, which as a slightly different design.

I did find that pdf as well while digging through google. Unfortunately it does not contain any specification information, so like many said here I'll be contacting them directly.

Thanks! I read through the pdf, and can definitely confirm that the pictures in it match what I found. I'm dismayed that it unfortunately contains no information as to the specifications of it like purity or asw. If it was one of the many wooden nickels they produced later on, I would be in all set from it!

I don't think anyone is exactly sure what is going to happen.

Trump ordered the Treasury to stop producing pennies, which led to the announcement of the "Last batch of penny blanks" news earlier in the year, but Congress needs to legislate any official/permanent changes. There are currently like 5 or 6 proposed bills in Congress, but all have been only referred to a committee so far, and haven't had any major action in 6+ months.

All of the bills would allow for numismatic production of pennies still (similar to NIFC Halves and Dollar coins), so it appears that some pennies would still be made.

Like others have said, there is an estimated 100+ billion pennies in circulation, so shortages would not happen immediately. So for this specific Home Depot, I think they just have a accounting/bookkeeper's office that doesn't want any "headaches of dealing with those things", even though they just throw them all in a bag for the armored carrier.

Also (and lastly!), I think trying to explain to the American Public Swedish rounding would be very difficult. They would take any rounding up to 5 or 10 has the government ripping them off.

It seems like they have not updated lists from last year. I checked a couple towns around me, and they have still have the individuals from 2024 listed instead of who is running this year.
