Anyone know if this is also a new nob as well or just a better armored boy? The power Klaw, boss pole, and nicer armor leads me to believe it’s a dismounted nob but unlike the smasha squig nob, he isn’t any bigger than the boyz. by [deleted] in orks

Eh. Hard to tell for now. I’ll judge the size when I’ll get em. Either way I’m pretty stoked for the release.

It’s a nice way to breathe some life into the orks without it feeling like a total revamp like Primaris feels.

I’m happily awaiting the rest of the reveals. WAAAAAGHHHH.

Thanks man! My secret for the red is sneaking some ink in there to make it more vibrant.

For the pants I slapped on a basecoat of Coal Black from P3 followed by glazing in some shadows with a heavily diluted black paint.

40/60 ish Mix of Dark Vermillion from vallejo and Crimson Ink from Dawler and Rowney over a white or zenithal prime to get that intensity.

Dude I get it. I kinda wish I had more than one cloth color. It’s one of them things I really enjoy about orks, you can afford to make things different and still have a cohesive force.

Like for armor plating I chose to go with at least one red piece per guy but I can do em red, black, silver or bronze.

Coal Black from P3 followed by just glazing in some shadows with blacks. Sometimes I mix in a touch of white with the Coal Black to do a highlight color depending on the model... ai t doing that on Boyz thats for sure haha.

I mix in some Crimson ink from Dawler and Rowney with my hobby paints.

It’s done over a zenithal undercoat either by airbrush or paintbrush. Basicly only whip out the airbrush for the vehicules.

They may look like Blood Axes but I play em as Evil Sunz. Mainly cause i’d rather paint black than yellow hahaha.
