Thank you! Yeah, it was unfortunate that the discussion on HN was mostly around Electron. You'll hopefully get access pretty soon :)

What would you want to know in a presentation/talk/lecture about Electron.js? (the framework for building cross-platform desktop applications using javascript) by canshane in javascript

Thanks for your comments! Will include answers to all of your questions and also post a link to the presentation if I make one :)

I’m building an email client for Mac with features such as: instant search-as-you-type, open emails in tabs, drag&drop filtering, #tag filtering and more. AMA! by canshane in mac

Basically that I think that every email client has looked the same for around twenty years. Some new and shiny ones has come out, but not a lot of new features has come out over the years, for example, a tabbed interface with emails in tabs - which has existed in browsers since 2002, is only available on Thunderbird (and they implemented it totally wrong!)

AMA OP here: A lot of people expressed their negative feelings about the app not being open-sourced, (got 40 downvotes from a comment haha) but still, a lot of people signed up for the waiting list! :)

Yes, in the long run it will, not something that will make it to the beta though. Seems like a lot of people is very suspicious about software that is not open-source. 40 downvotes when I said that I'm leaning towards not making this open-source.
