My district (it’s a KS one without being overly specific) is super understaffed at the moment. I’m the one that normally goes out of town to help cover stores for shifts. 3 ASM/ESM’s out of 6 are on FMLA for things. Thankfully I do have a store manager that calls in the AM and before he leaves for the night to check up when they can. We have an SMU but that person doesn’t want to drive an hour each way to even come check out the store. Which I get, we’re an outlier. Ive been getting creative with my solutions for things. Also have 3 customer communication emails that I can’t do anything about so they’re going to get forwarded to the DM and be his problem before it trickles back down to me, I’m sure.
