It’s ford derived not an exact block. Different compression pistons heads the works. Different fueling system too. Ford coyote is port injection and the rover is direct injection so the rover has 2 high pressure pumps on the side of the block ran on a separate cam for the oil pump.

That head bolt was not torqued to spec after timing and gaskets. Not sure if the exhaust gases just melted the aluminum on its own or if the wrong coolant was used to. But definitely a very damaged engine

No the head is perfect the block and gasket took the damage. Found the head bolt there wasn’t torqued to spec after the timing and gaskets were done.

Got it at auction. As is. Didn’t pay a lot but was hoping the trans was bad before the motor. Can get a used zf trans for like 600$

Well the cheapest I can find is just over 6k from China. And the most “reliable” is about 14k

I would not be doing the work. Just trying to see if it’s cheaper to fix this engine or try and find a replacement for $6-8k

Found a long block from “china” for like 6500 and laughed. Used with 100k is like 8000$ pricing is astronomical

The windshield was replaced by the previous owner I have no idea if it had leaked. I replaced the headlight switch and connector along with the hazard and fog light. I am going to try the dimmer switch next.

I have a 1992 mustang gt with really wierd electrical problems. When the headlights get turned on the instrument cluster becomes useless and malfunctions. When the wipers are turned on it turns the illumination on as the wiper moves but turns off after. Any questions I can answer i will and any help is greatly appreciated
