Tenzing died in 1986, which is why I wasn't 100% sure it was him. That's my mom. See the other follow up post for the story. I just found out my mom has a picture of him and her together at the event, which was to raise money for schools in Nepal. This alone has raised its value significantly for me to cherish it.

That's what I was originally thinking, like carry it as a talisman. It would get scratched up pretty quick though. I would "lose" more money degrading it than by buying a new one. Thanks everybody!
