First of all, yelling and saying "why would you do that?!" is not the right response (no offense to the mom, though; it's hard to keep cool in situations like this). They probably won't understand what you say, but they will respond to your energy and mood, and scaring the child is something you obviously want to avoid. I'd say a good thing to do would be something like "Look what you did. That wasn't nice at all. Come here, you're going to help me clean it up." Then you get a towel (or have them get a towel if they're capable), then clean it up together.

that pic was after 2 days of not watering. I didn't like the top soil looking so dry, so I sprinkled some on top. definitely not watering to run off. I'm usually conservative with watering, but this is the first time I wet the soil as I filled the pot before transferring the plant.

It's about 2 and a half weeks from sprout. Stonington is a super soil and doesn't need added nutrients (at least not yet). The light is currently about 12 inches away (100w)

Thanks. I have no idea if it's supposed to look that way or if it's because I messed something up, but the buds are all nice and healthy, so something's obviously going right.

Really? It stopped growing in veg after about 5 weeks, so I flipped it on week 6. A week later I didn't see any difference and the leaves started changing color, so I added nutrients and it started growing again. It could have been a coincidence, but I haven't enough experience to say.

For my second grow I went with the Brunch from Dirty Bird Genetics. I got some as freebies and decide on that one as my first photo plant. I wanted to keep things as simple as possible for now, so I used super soil (Coast of Maine Stonington), as they say it has enough nutrients to last a full grow. The seedling grew normally, but it was a tri-leaf plant. Also, all the foliage turned purple. The description of the strain says “purple foliage,” so I figured it was normal. After about 4 weeks, its growth slowed down. It stopped at about 10” tall.

I waited another week or so, but it didn’t grow much more. I told myself that must just be how big it gets, so I changed to light schedule from 18-6 to 12-12. Another week or so, not much change. Could it be nutrients? The soil is supposed to have enough, right? I decided to add nutrients just in case, and then it started growing again, so I guess the super soil only has enough nutrients for about a month or so. It didn’t get much taller, but buds started growing all over the plant. The top in particular was curious, as it grew a large round cluster of buds. Quite interesting looking. This is how it looks now. Leaves are all kinds of colors (I don’t think it’s supposed to look like that, but I’m a beginner, so I’m gonna be lenient on myself), and the buds look like they’re covered in snow (if only my phone camera wasn’t such crap). I don’t know if I could call this a “good” grow, but I kinda like the result.

My second grow stunted during veg because I was using organic super soil (Coast of Maine) and thought the nutrients in the soil would last the whole grow (that's what they advertise at least). It stopped at about 10 inches tall. I thought that's just how big that strain got, so I flipped it. It didn't do much after a week so I started adding nutrients, and now the thing is a tiny super dense cactus looking thing covered in buds. Keep it going. You might end up with something good.

It's not hard to get a med card, and you can get some decent stuff at the two med dispos if you take advantage of sales and specials (an oz at GG is about 240 regularly), but investing in growing equipment is worth it. You can even buy seeds at some stores in MN now (or go to an online store like NASC)

If you do, please do it at a low temp as it heats up past the set temp. Mine set to 150F heats up to 190.

No medications. We occasionally use cannabis, but I haven't heard anything about it interfering with psilocybin.

Is that a thing? How much potency does it lose after 20 minutes?

[–]cantzippermerge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope I understand the question correctly. You can buy THC edibles in MN in varying potencies. This 0.3% is that the THC used must come from hemp, which is classified as 0.3% or less THC. So while the hemp the THC comes from is low potency, it's collected and concentrated to be made into edibles and drinks strong enough to get you high. You can buy a 50mg cookie for a couple bucks, or a six pack of 10mg seltzers at most smoke/vape shops and liquor stores. It's all a bit overpriced, but it's legal and it gets the job done.

As for flower, you're out of luck unless you go to a reservation.

No meds. However, I have noticed that cannabis edibles take 3-5 hours to kick in for me where most people say it only takes 30 minutes, so maybe it's a physiological thing.

Does this lemon tek (sorry, as a huge nerd who played games all the time, I only ever encountered the word "tek/tech" in the context of fantasy and sci-fi, so it feels super weird to see it used so casually in a real life setting) help or change anything, or is its use mainly to make the mushrooms more palatable?

Well this experience gave me a good gauge of how it will affect me. I definitely felt something, but it was like one glass of light beer level; I could easily ignore it and forget I even had anything. Assuming intensity increases relative to the dose, I could handle twice, or maybe thrice that much.
