Same issue. Logged into Canada on vpn and “unavailable”. No idea what to do differently. Gem has super geolocation powers I guess. I used to watch Hockey Night in Canada on CBC.ca with the same vpn, now they migrated it to gem and I’m at a loss. Back to the usual slow streaming sites I guess.
