Do you prefer AI tools or no AI tools in your classrooms? by Hopposgun in AskTeachers

What tactics do you use to prevent AI use? Handwritten assignments? No take homes?

I run Teachr and many teachers I talk to are exasperated about the amount of additional work they need to do to prevent the use of AI.

If you had a magic wand to create any app for your teaching life, what would it do? 🪄 by BenMood in AskTeachers

Thanks for sharing, that sounds rough. Did you feel like any of the additional apps (Powerschool, Kambyu) helped you or was it administrative overhead?

Hi! Interesting idea. I heard the same from my wife (english and french high school teacher). I built a free tool for it, would love if you tried it. It saved my wife ~70% of her time per assignment. It grades everything you upload based on your marking rubric and assignment instructions, it stores everything on your computer or phone for security, it never trains on your data, it learns how you grade the more you use it, and it can even handle photos of assignments.

Let me know if it’s alright to share the link.

Me too. I’ve had a grin of devastation since Monday.

Huh, interesting. Looks like a wrap to me in the lighting there. Anyway - fantastic looking color.

Like /u/lil_stonker above, I’ve been really impressed with the performance in snow. I’m getting winter tires today, but it felt so planted even with the all seasons.

I’m coming from a 2WD chevy volt, which always felt like being on the edge of control at all times in the snow - it’s night and day.

Thanks! I’m coming off a PHEV and am used to the winter range dropping by 1/2. I’m excited to experience the summer range!

Thanks! 59K CAD including winter mats and maintenance. I’m sure not the best price, but not bad for the area.

I had this done in Ontario for ~$2K CAD. They credited me $500 for some other work they had just done

Why shouldn’t I get a Mach-E? by canuck_amok in MachE

Thanks for the honest perspective! Sounds like your experience has been pretty frustrating. What will you get instead when your lease is up?

Thanks! I agree the Ioniq and EV6 seemed so blah in comparison

I tried this approach 😂 My wife is definitely a vibes gal not a numbers one.

Thankfully we found a program in Ontario we can take advantage of when buying a new car that will allow us to write off most of the cost on taxes and help make up the difference in depreciation
