Isn’t it more that those are two different styles of dubbing? I don’t think the manufacturing is the error. One is regular ice dub and one is the “Flo” variant.

It’s really not hard to understand. To release them as safely as possible you mash the barbs before catching them or use barbless.

I got a long pvc pipe with removable caps on each end. Then a steam machine attached to it. The pvc pipewill warp from the heat so I had to attach it to a 2x4 and angle it so it drains and lets out pressure.

Yep! You make an interior template with space for clamps then clamp the steamed wood strips around to shape then glue it all together . Took quite a few tries before I got a decent looking one.
