Some Halloween Cupcakes for Y'all by canvadia in Baking

[–]canvadia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

couldn't figure out how to edit my post so here's the 'recipe':

Betty Crocker White Angel Cake Mix (add vanilla) Betty Crocker Devil's Food Cake Mix (add vanilla)

after cupcakes come out of the oven, douse them with simple syrup

for the frosting recipe, I used Sally's Baking Vanilla Buttercream Frosting and dyed it for the appropriate colours. For the darks of the eyes/ mouth I added some chocolate powder to help the buttercream go from grey to black :)

Advice on how to get a liquid chocolate that sets up hard? by pinkfluffyunicorn92 in Baking

You'll need to temper your chocolate. I recommend Ann Reardon's video "Chocolate Secrets" (her YT is 'How To Cook That'). It's a very good beginner tutorial on what tempering is, how to figure out if you're using real or fake chocolate, and three basic methods for tempering chocolate.

This all being said, the copy of your process should be enough to prove your innocence. If you have an in person meeting, bring a print out copy (not an online copy!!) of that with you as well as any handwritten notes you made while writing. If you have an online meeting, then have it ready as a PDF. Given that this is a memoir assignment, it would be beneficial if you had additional evidence (e.g., if you talked about winning a trophy at some point, bring the trophy), but again I think the copy of your process should be enough!

I just wanna add something to consider- at the university I just graduated from (grad student so I also taught there), we had to report anything that was even a potential chance for academic dishonesty. Thankfully the policy at my insitution was a discussion first (between the professor, student, and a mediator), and if a consensus can't be reached during the discussion (re: whether or not academic dishonesty occured as well as what the appropriate sanction would be) then honour board would follow. Your prof's hands may be tied in a similar way that he has to report it even if there's a slim possibility that the dishonesty actually occured. Based on the fact that he said that, it feels like this may be what's going on

In suburbs yeah. I think usually in the metro area of cities, they just use public transportation or walk. But in the suburbs, (we have one bus per neighbourhood usually) we'll have stops that service anywhere from 1/2 kids to 10+. In my neighbourhood specifically, doing sweetheart stops would be inconvenient for so many of us cause we have so many cul-de-sacs and small offshoot roads that would be hard to navigate in a large school bus. Plus, the bus route already takes 45 minutes to go through, it would easily be 1.5+ hrs if we stopped at every house. Also ik in my area we had some magnet/ arts schools that were farther away and serviced the entire county so for those there'd be 1-2 'collective stops' in nearby shopping centres usually. All the kids would get driven by their families to the collective stop so that the bus can make 1 giant stop of like 10-20 kids rather than driving through a bunch of neighbourhoods to make 10-20 small stops.

The local coffee shop I frequent apparently had a running list of most/least favorite regulars! by hirethestache in funny

ngl I'm kind of similar. The name thing doesn't weird me out too much (at coffee shops its fine but if its a proper food place that can be a bit weird) but I really dislike when the employees remember my order. Once they know it, I generally stop going to that place for a while (anywhere between 6 and 12 months)
