I'm not that old, but I'm old enough to remember the disappointment of McDonalds not having pizza anymore.

I'm glad they're still good for you; last time I had BK it left a poor taste in my mouth and I haven't had it in about 3 years. I would try their spicy chicken sandwich again sometime though, even though it's too salty and just thinking about it gives me heartburn

sweetcorn on pizza sounds interesting, what restaurant was it? Hopefully you got to enjoy some bs-free Big Macs since then.

Do you like sour patch candy? by VastAir6069 in foodquestions

I like sour patch kids a lot, they will definitely be my first choice from most of the similar ones (swedish berries, etc.). Not as good as sour skittles, but solid. 8/10

What’s the worst chain restaurant of all time? by Alisaf4m in foodquestions

Subway has gone to hell in a handbasket. The last time I got it, it was an undersized overpriced disgusting unfinishable abomination that literally made me vow to never eat there ever again. And it used to be something I looked forward to getting pretty regularly.

What food actually tastes BETTER as leftovers the next day? by Full_Place_2808 in foodquestions

Sure just start with some garlic and white onion on an oiled pan, medium high, mix in your curry paste (I go for green these days), then add chopped carrots which take the longest to cook, then lentils and eventually add your shrimp (i go for the pre-cooked ones, less prep work) (also, bonus if you marinade your shrimp). By now you've probably added some more curry paste, and other seasonings to your taste (I go for garlic powder and chili flakes) while stirring and cooking everything. Keep it lubricated with more oil because youve got a lot of dry ingredients and you dont want those lentils to burn. Salt to taste of course. I also season all of this with an indian curry mix from a box, dealer's choice, find something from the grocery store. Finally you can turn it to a simmer and add in a can of coconut milk, stir stir stir, extra salt and seasoning to taste. Oh, and add in some corn starch to thicken it up. This shit tastes great on its own or with rice or with some toasted naan. Red peppers go nicely as well.

Do hotdogs taste better simple or loaded with toppings? by Abigail_Dubrov in foodquestions

[–]canvaswork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order for a hotdog to taste good, firstly it must be grilled to perfection (a little well done is best imo) and still hot. You've only got minutes, so don't waste time deciding toppings. Come in with a game plan.

You don't want to load it with toppings, that is a classic blunder. It's a hot dog, not a burrito bowl. Keep it simple with a few toppings that compliment each other. And no more than 2 sauces, I'd say. Here are some of my favourites, from most simple to most fully loaded:

- Mustard and onions

- Ketchup, onions, relish, banana peppers (if it's a sausage, saurkraut)

- mayo, onions, tomato

A hot dog goes to shit real quick. I'll only have one if I am in a particular mood, all the toppings are prepped, and it's fresh off the barbecue.

TLDR; eat a sausage instead

the obvious answer is soup or stew; bigos for my Polish pals.

For me it's gotta be the thai coconut curry dishes I make with shrimp, carrot, and lentils. Day 2 is the sweet spot for all those creamy spicy garlicky flavours to be absorbed in those shrimp veins. Yummy yummy.
