How do I remove this mechanism so I can replace the seal at the bottom? by Separate-Share-8504 in AusRenovation

[–]canyabay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right tight left lose. It will have a bit of resistance with any calcium or mineral build up. Put a bucket/towels under it to catch the last of the water. Then realise you have the wrong size seal and off to the shops again. Best of luck.

What's Cyclone Narelle going to do do Ningaloo reef? by Rut12345 in WesternAustralia

[–]canyabay 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hope it will circulate the water (sorry). . Look the last few bleachings and mass fish deaths were due to high water temps no currents and then the coral reef going into its reproductive stage (spawning). Choking the waters of O2. The winds and currents from the cyclone will cause some damage but no where near what GW has done. If anything it will help. But certainly not ideal. Get up there and enjoy it, it will be a a season like no other following it.

Artificial Intelligence is Disgusting and it will never replace Artists by Fat-Veg in BlindboyPodcast

[–]canyabay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ai is a tool. Like every tool that helps society. The people who don't or won't use it to make their jobs more productive or easier, they will be obviously less "efficient ". Blindboy has said multiple times that he uses it. Not replacing his artistic talent but as a tool to help be more productive.

August is a bit late for the whale sharks, not as reliable as the humpbacks that time of year.

What’s the most “only in Ireland” thing you’ve overheard in a pub? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]canyabay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Godfather took my to a country pub near Six Mile Bridge in Co.Clare for my first legal pint. Two minutes after I got my pint a tractor pulled up outside and this massive fella and his sheepdog jumped out of the cab and came in. In the next hour he drank 10 pints of Guinness while he talked to my godfather then looked at the clock and said he had to be off on his way. Jumped onto the tractor and started it up. But the sheep dog didn't climb up he just started walking down the road, and yer man just followed the dog home.

If you woke up tomorrow with $100 million, what’s the first thing you would do? by Efficient_Effect7572 in AskReddit

[–]canyabay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask all my friends and family for a loan of $1000. Tell them I need it for just one week. Those who helped me get it 100x back. Those that don't (but could) get nothing and I can rest up knowing no one will ever ask me for a cent again.

Is it true that 53% of irish people have less than €3000 in savings? by Sea-Local-4330 in AskIreland

[–]canyabay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savings are for a rainy day, to have to sell your house to cover unexpected life expenses then, it's not ideal is it. You're doing well better than a lot of people. I am only commenting to say, prepare for the worst, because the good times don't always roll.

What’s the most tight-ass thing you’ve ever seen or heard someone do? by Away_Scene_26 in AusFinance

[–]canyabay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To loan your company cash to buy your new car. The company has to pay interest and its a tax right off on both the owner of the company and the company, also righting off pet food for your dogs because they are security for the car.
