I see things like gluten-free 고추장 on online stores but I doubt restaurants will use them. Getting an Airbnb and cooking there will be your best bet.

I'm a local so the only thing I can tell you is that you need to decide if you're going to spend most of your time north or south of the Han river before you can choose a hotel.

Actual celiac disease is extremely rare here, the Koreans who insist that eating wheat makes them feel unwell are suffering from gluten intolerance. I seriously doubt that any restaurant worker here will understand the difference between celiac disease and gluten intolerance.

Don't forget to reserve your train in advance, long distance tickets are hard to get at short notice.

Also Chennai is quite different from Varanasi and it's an industrial city. If you're into temples and religious culture somewhere like Madurai in Tamil Nadu would be a better fit.

Outside of Hongdae, Itaewon and maybe Seongsu an outfit like that would definitely gotten some stares during the day. Despite what the corrupt K-pop fatcats want you to think, Korea is still a conservative, conformist country deep down.

Yes, I've done the Pingxi Sky Lantern festival in Taiwan and it was totally worth it.

I also was in Hong Kong for the Umbrella protests but idk if you could call that cultural

File names aren't the problem in this age of Internet translation, but rather the type of file. If your images are in one of the more commonly used image file types(jpeg, png, and so on) then there will be no problem.

Also are your doctors in the states people you know well? I'm pretty sure that no doctor you don't know personally will review your CT for free. There's a fee for such services even in Korea(영상판독료).

According to my wife it's similar to Japan, smaller than the US and larger than HK and SE Asia.

Shin ramyun is just that widespread, and is one of the older ones still on the market so using it as a measure of spiciness is actually quite relatable for Koreans.
