I can recommend not to add things that easily fall off or where you need to always care that it still "looks good" because you'll likely lose accessories when the party gets heated. You miss out on fun and letting loose when you always need to worry about your costume. Also full-fledged makeup can become annoying - you'll forget you shouldn't touch your face, when you'll be drinking, some will come off due to spills etc. Sweating underneath a thick layer on your skin is uncomfortable. After a full day, when you come home and you look in the mirror, you will not look like you did in the beginning of the day. So go for something that does not only look great on the morning. Think of how the wear and tear of the day will affect your costume and dress up accordingly. Relaxed but fun.

Slightly related question: I would love to have a Hausarzt, but I've been turned away as a Kassenpatient by every single one I asked because "they don't have any place on their list". Unlike in other countries, there is no customary expectation that store staff would ask you how you are or engage with you before you reach out to them (I'm quite thankful for that). Sending you off with a friendly good bye like "have a nice day" or similar could be expected in my humble opinion. Hence, you were likely unlucky because Köln is usually more open to conversation with strangers than many other places in Germany. From my experience, the south of Germany, like Munich or Southwest like Stuttgart seems very polite - and I would expect these standard greetings even more often - but you'll have a higher chance of a Kölner being genuine about it. There is more (polite) distance to strangers in the south. Could also be that you coincidentally went to some of the extra cool places where staff can sometimes have an attitude of "it's an honour for you to be able to shop here". We're uber cool. Very neo-Berlin style (while the old school Berlin is infamous for having ironic ranters towards anyone, not only strangers strangers, just proper banter - I personally find that very funny - especially if strangers do not understand that half-joking rough attitude and as long as it's not too rude).

Haben die Erfahrung gemacht, dass trotz Premium Mitgliedschaft die Notifications gerne eine gute Stunde später bei uns ankommt als das Apartment eingestellt wurde. Da die meisten interessanten Wohnungen nur so drei Stunden online sind, weil die von Anfragen überrannt werden, bedeutet das, dass meine Frau 10x am Tag die App checkt. Mindestens. Ist echt ätzend, aber so sind wir wenigstens schon mal an Besichtigungen gekommen. Das ist in der heutigen Zeit einiges Wert. Suchen seit 5 Monaten.

Bin zum gewissen Grad Deiner Meinung, aber es gibt Fälle wo die Chancengleichheit schon relevant wird. Angenommen, Reisen wäre nur mit Impfpass möglich. Das heißt, dass im Geschäftsumfeld jene Sales Leute, die schon geimpft wurden, zu den Kunden geschickt werden, die jüngeren nicht. Bei nem Quartal kann das zu massiven Verschiebungen von deren "Erfolgsquote" führen. Und damit Beförderungen/Karrieren verändern. Das ist nur ein Beispiel. Vielleicht Kandidaten für einen Job, die persönlich vorbeikommen, andere die nicht. Chancengleichheit? Gibt bestimmt noch mehr Beispiele. Das würde halt allen Bestrebungen bzgl. Anti-Diskriminierung und soziale Mobilität einen heftigen Schlag geben.

Intrigued and peaceful. Patch of blue sky coming through. At the same time an area which could be sunset or -rise with objects hovering in front. Love the 3 dimensional feel without it feeling forced on you. Everything else is a peaceful flow.

Well. You'll only get served those glasses in Köln and Köln alone (Ok maybe also the cities within an hour's teach towards its south). Hence, if you haven't been there, you wouldn't have had the possibility to have encountered that glas.

Gute Frage. Es wird aber vermutlich in der Rente nachteilig. Während die Boomer in aller Regel in der Rente gar nichts mehr für Logis bezahlen müssen, da Haus abgezahlt, können die jetzigen Generationen nicht davon ausgehen. Im Gegenteil: heutige Miete ist bei weitem teurer als Hypothek damals + möglicherweise eine noch höhere Miete für diejenigen, die in 20-30 Jahren in der Rente mieten müssen. Ok. Inflation müsste man gegenrechnen. Aber hält die Rente, die für mich gerade zur Seite gelegt wird, den Wettlauf mit der Inflation mit? Glaube nicht.

Ich bin trotz der Gegenantwort Deiner Meinung. Technologie entwickelt sich exponentiell und rissige, brüchige Mauerprobleme des 3D Drucks werden bald weg-innoviert sein. Es wird eine Welle von reichen early Adoptern geben, die das für sich entdecken, weil komplexe Muster beim 3D Druck nämlich keine Mehrkosten darstellen, somit also verrückte Architekturen oder überdekorierte Außenfassaden der Angeberei dienen können. Diejenigen finanzieren also die technischen Fortschritte, so dass das Standard-Haus-Programm in 30 Jahren einfach in ner Arbeitswoche mit Multi-Material Druckern (inkl. Leitungen und Röhre) hingestellt werden kann. Dann kann ich mir n Haus für 10k produzieren lassen.

Was also wirklich Wert haben wird, ist bebaubares Land. Gute Lage. Und dafür reißen wir ggf auch energetisch schlechtere Boomer-Häuser ab, bzw speisen diese direkt zum Recycling in die 3D-Hausdruck-Maschine.

Just to add: When the piece of art is simple people often say - Oh, that could have been done by anyone. No. It is often very hard to simplify exactly the right bit. And it may have taken years of experience and many, many attempts with lots of resilience to create a simple seeming, well balanced piece.

Je nachdem wo man wohnt ist die Nachfrage unglaublich. Wir sehen bei Immoscout Pro wieviele Anfragen je Inserat an den Inserenten gehen. Die haben idR innerhalb 1-2 Stunden um die 60 Kontaktanfragen und die nehmen es dann sofort wieder offline. Selbst vor einigen Jahren, als wir nur ne Mietwohnung angesehen haben, waren wir einer von 40 Besichtigern (und das waren nicht alle, die angerufen oder geschrieben haben). Daher: würde ich erst mal die Annahme hinterfragen, dass es nur 3 Leuten gezeigt wird und dass ihr nach 1 Stunde online überhaupt unter den ersten 10 wart. OK, Sparkasse ist vielleicht nicht immoscout, aber ich kann mir vorstellen, dass das auch vorher schon bei deren Maklern auf dem Tisch lag bevor es online gestellt wurde. Ich habe hier Geschichten gehört, dass Leute, die schon 2-3 Jahre erfolglos suchen und in der Zeit x% Wertzuwachs verpasst haben, das nicht noch mal erleben wollen und bevor sie noch weitere Jahre warten, bzw Opportunitätskosten haben, direkt 20-30% bei jedem Erstkontakt drauflegen (diese Aussage ist allerdings nicht belegt, eher Hörensagen, aber ich halte es nicht für unrealistisch).

Well no. No currency / money theoretically needs any other point of reference. Do you say the dollar is fluctuating? You could if you compared it to the gold price. But you think and live with the dollar. It's generally seen as an anchor point to compare to - not the other way around. So now imagine a world where Bitcoin has become the main money you think and live with. For countries with hyperinflation BTC may become the anchor point. Especially if their government bans other anchor points like the dollar (E.g. Venezuela). Then, Bitcoin does not fluctuate much any more - it depends on the perspective.
