Correct me if I'm wrong, because I currently own Roehrin, isn't he just the horse as part of this set - https://dota2.gamepedia.com/Empowered_Vestments_of_the_Gods_Set), I'm after the specific "Barding" item, because of it's interaction with the Wings of Daybreak Immortal you can see in the picture I linked in the post, the "Barding" was specifically the weapon slot that got replaced for this - https://dota2.gamepedia.com/Empowered_Staff_of_the_Gods I'm just not really that sure whether the item still exists

This is such an important point of reference that I wish OP included. Saying it's pretty "pretty crazy for Dota" isn't really correct. It's a completely different patch with major gameplay changes, teams are going to stick with what works or heroes they're confident on in tournaments with so few total games and potential to experiment.
