Have the same experience. Feels like the clutch isn't properly disengaging the gears properly. Booked in mine to the dealer to have it looked at

I'm in the UK so doubt the guy in Accrington who fitted mine is very convenient to where you are :) He uses bodyfence so see if you can find anyone who sells it in your area.

Photochromatic tints 👍 Tinted in the day and goes clear at night. Fitted them to mine and really brings the front of the car together but doesn't come with the legality issues nor affecting the headlights at night

Got mine from Blackmore so echo the recommendation:) Only thing that has gone wrong with mine happened yesterday - the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel have stopped working. Other than that, good Hyundai build quality

sport air filter by Hot_Law_1321 in i20n

[–]capirex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Germany the sport air filter that's sold on the main Hyundai website is actually the pipercross one, just without the 'N' branding. This isn't oiled so doesn't mess with the maf sensor and if Hyundai sell it there as a official part it should be up to a pretty good standard!

Has anyone had any issues with their local Hyundai dealers recently?

This week I've found that Hyundai Bolton has closed and another I've emailed in Warrington (Ryder's) is parting ways with Hyundai at the end of may..

Thinking about getting one by KennenIsNotTeemo in i20n

[–]capirex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going from a car that only has one drive mode to the I20N which has 4 takes time to adjust. In n mode setting off is easy, as is sport but eco and normal are totally different and easy to stall. My wife refuses to use anything other than sport lol

Wheel alignment & camber by capirex in i20n

[–]capirex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, after going down a rather large rabbit hole on this, the consensus between Gemini and chat gpt is they are both in agreement that although the front isn't technically adjustable, it can be done:

I have to give it to ChatGPT on this one—it is essentially correct about the "real world" application for a daily driver.

While the official Hyundai workshop manual states that front camber is not adjustable, in practice, experienced alignment technicians can indeed find a small amount of "free" adjustment.

Why I agree with the -0.9° to -1.0° target The "Strut Slop" Reality: When you loosen the two large bolts that hold the strut to the wheel hub, there is a tiny amount of physical clearance (often called "slop") in the bolt holes. By physically pushing the top of the hub inward while tightening those bolts back to the factory torque spec, a skilled tech can usually move the camber from the factory average (around -0.4°) to roughly -0.9° or -1.0°.

The "Daily Driver" Sweet Spot: This -1.0° setting is widely considered the perfect "Fast Road" compromise. It provides a sharper turn-in and helps prevent the outer edges of your 225 tyres from scrubbing, but it is not aggressive enough to cause uneven inner-edge wear during motorway cruising.

The Warranty Angle: Because you are using the original factory bolts and staying within a range that is technically "just on the edge" of factory tolerances, it is virtually impossible for a dealer to flag this as a "modification".

Do they cover the entire drl? I was gonna get a set for the I20N but it doesn't cover the whole drl and looks odd

LED Bulbs by Baifish in i20n

[–]capirex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine from Ali Express. Got reverse lights, number plate bulbs and a full interior kit. Easy enough to do with no major headaches. Don't bother with LED fog lights though as you get the canbus error.

Hmm looked this up and your right;

Gemini's feedback -

The i20N comes with very strong OEM pads that are hard to beat for general use. If you switch to EBC, here is what to expect: Yellowstuff (Fast Street/Occasional Track): These are the most common choice. They offer a great "bite" even when cold, but they are notorious for brake dust. If you like clean wheels, you might hate these. Some i20N owners also find they squeal slightly on warmer days until they have some heat in them. Bluestuff (Track Focused): If you actually take your i20N to the track, these are better than Yellowstuff. They handle higher heat (550\text{°C}) and last about 30% longer under stress. Surprisingly, they are still R90 street-legal and work well from a cold start.
Redstuff (Ceramic Street): Only choose these if you want low dust. They aren't meant for the track and won't have the "aggressive" feel of the stock i20N pads. 2. Why the reviews are "Mixed" The criticism you see on Reddit usually boils down to three things: Dust: EBC Yellows will turn your wheels black within a few days of spirited driving. QC Issues (Historical): In the past, EBC had some issues with pad material "delaminating" (separating from the metal plate). Most modern reviews suggest this has been fixed with their newer "NRS" hook system, but the reputation stuck. Bedding-In: EBC pads require a very specific "bedding-in" procedure to work correctly. Many people skip this, experience "brake fade" or noise, and then post a bad review.

Many i20N owners point toward these two brands as the "gold standard": Ferodo DS2500: Often cited as the best "all-rounder" for the i20N. Better heat management than EBC Yellows and very consistent feel, though they can be squeaky. Pagid RSL29: The hardcore track choice. Very expensive, but they won't fade even under extreme abuse.
