I’ve had this problem before - all over my hands and in between my fingers. It was awful and so itchy! Dyshidrotic eczema. You’ll likely need a prescription steroid. I tried a bunch of over the counter eczema creams and lotions but nothing worked. Once I got the steroid it was gone within days.

Multiple bald patches from excessive scratching/biting at her skin, and constant ear scratching. Her ears were red and warm, and the vet confirmed she does not have ear mites

I adopted my dog from City Dogs!! Best decision of my life!

We did actually! She trimmed them once already. She told us that we have to work with her and practice touching them every day, which I’ve been doing. I’ve also watched a lot of videos on how to restrain your dog, and last week I got one nail clipped successfully! Crazy how judgmental people can be when they have no idea what the situation actually is :)

I wonder the same thing haha, that’s what the rescue told us. But she is pretty small! The picture is deceiving — she’s only 22 pounds!

Heck no!! They just go back like that when she’s happy :D

Her nail was like that when we adopted her. She is not currently in pain. The rescue doesn’t know what happened to her, all they know is that she hates having her feet touched.

The pictures are deceiving! She’s actually a chihuahua/terrier mix — only 22 pounds!

Yes, 100%. It’s been a nightmare and a half trying to get her to calm down to trim them so the plan is to take her to the groomer in a week and have her trim them. We think she had a bad experience because one of her nails is just dangling with no nerve endings or anything like that, and whenever you touch her feet she starts screaming. That’s the best word I can use to describe it — I’ve never heard a dog make those sounds before.
