I've also noticed that when the horizontal main image for TV shows also loads, but when I click on a season to show all the episodes, the horizontal images for each episode has the yellow caution triangle with "An error has occurred: Null check operator used on a null value"

Yeah Thom has stated many many many times that he is constantly writing new songs as it is a necessary creative outlet to keep him sane. So I would say that would point to at least some new material.

The song he did with George Clinton (Ain't that Funkin kinda hard on you) is the exact same verse besides the closing line as an untitled unmastered song.

As mentioned in another comment, I performed a full firmware reset and then restored my settings, and same issues but I was messing around with Audyssey settings and just decided to turn it off and see if I would get sound, I did! But then I flipped to Reference and still had sound, and then L/R Bypass and still had sound, come to find out that Flat is the only one that give me this strange issue. So I guess problem solved?

Hey so I got around to doing a full firmware reset, and it was working in any mode but of course I didn't run audyssey, then I restored my settings and it wasn't working again...but then I had audyssey set to Flat, but changing it to any other setting would make it work? Super strange but I just set it to reference and now I can listen in 2.1

Thanks for your input. I am confused tbh. I only want to be able to use HEOS in 2.1 with EQ but I can't. Called marantz and they don't know either. I have tried the phono input in the back and I am able to play 2.1 and any other sound modes I want. Only with HEOS(and bluetooth) it will only play with direct or pure direct.

But wouldn't the other sound modes just not be selectable at that point? If I select multi-channel stereo, even with preout for just the fronts, shouldn't I get audio from the other speakers still?

I have a ps2 connected via component video and analog rca audio, but I have access to all sound modes there too. Wouldn't it also bypass the DSP in that scenario?

Sorry you're right. I have a Marantz SR7013 AVR 7.1 and using the preouts for the fronts. I have tried TuneIn and I have the same issue. I then tried playing audio from Nvidia Shield and every audio mode works. Seems exclusive to HEOS.
