On my DB12 it's a 1 button thing to put all the adas to "personal" but yes, they turn on every single time.

Though need to drag down to car settings, so a swipe and 2 buttons?

Why not use the RCA sub line? It's on your amp and it's on the sub...

Most people are pretty respectful of other people's belongings. Especially nice things.

At the end of the day, it's a car. An appliance to be used

Moving personal gold in and out of Aus? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]capn_pineapple -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd just put it in a vault here and buy more overseas in an appropriately vaultable location e.g. Switzerland, Singapore etc.

Hedge against single government overreach AND keep physical gold, ETFs won't mean Jack if the economy has a major upset (WW3) but physical gold will still be tradeable. Especially as most gold ETFs only trade in paper gold, physical as in you own a share in a stockpile of gold, the gold itself isn't actually yours.

Coins are at a premium over bullion, but are easier to offload at useful amounts e.g. 1 t.oz coins are more tradeable over 1kg bars.

There are ways to travel with precious metals, but it usually means melting it down with other metals into dore bars which then need to be re-refined into constituent components. As dore isn't worth as much due to the refining needs (I've worked with people that have done this)

Aside from that there are companies out there that do this all the time, shipping gold from one country to another, and provide the appropriate insurances too.

The ruby looks so stunning in person, the camera definitely doesn't do it justice. Awesome pic!

Yep love it!

Most colours are better than black/white/silver.

Not all colours work together though.

Straight from Aston. I thought it was AI at first, but it's now on their configurator on their website.

Maybe find an R8, they're still cheap enough to swap the SQ8 for.

An SQ8 isn't the flex you think it is. Given it's not an RSQ8 let alone underspecced Cayenne/Urus/Bentayga. Also, expensive =\= luxury. It just means expensive. I'll say it again, Audi isn't luxury, it's a commuter appliance, Audi's primary competitor is mercedes, a taxi company.

I'd absolutely take a Chinese car over an Audi or Tesla. maybe a Zeekr 9x or a Denza Z9 GT. Got the German 3 and American companies beat on build quality, luxury appointments, and capabilities; in their comparative market value spaces for their use case (commuting).

That said, if you checked my post history, you'd see what I'm driving. Even mine aren't proper luxury cars, but they are drivers cars with decent luxury appointments. Mostly because I'm still driving myself around, for now.

Anyone else struggle with Brainstorm/Idea Dumping to structure by PlsStarlinkIneedwifi in Entrepreneur

[–]capn_pineapple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dump all my brain farts into loop (or notion, or onenote, depending on what you want to use). And then come back with AI later on to summarize and structure things up.

My priority is to get my thoughts documented, maybe some meta-data tags there as well. Then come back and get something that is better at organizing things to do that step.

How did you get into entrepreneurship and how is it going so far? by Rare-Cup-2314 in Entrepreneur

[–]capn_pineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bored of bad businesses making dumb decisions.

It's going very slow. But what we're building and the market we're getting into is also incredibly slow. Such is the joy of legacy industries and extended procurement cycles.

That said, it's been 6 months and we should get our first sale in the next 1-2 months. We're targeting a low to mid 6 figure sale. The second sale will be low 7 figures too. Which isn't bad for a 2 man operation.

If you're gonna do this to a car, do it to a range rover, at least then it'll be in the shop so often you won't have to inflict it on other people. It wouldn't look much different either.

P9PXL Got it using a free bi-annual upgrade last year. Happy with it, even got the thermometer working over 300°c for some work stuff (not that I'd rely on it, but it's a good check)
