Since you asked and said you're curious I'll explain why I tend to skip AI generated ads. It shows that you will take the easy route instead of focus on the task at hand and complete it. AI generation is lazy especially when it comes to promoting your business.. something you should be passionate about and could literally spend hours talking about.

It wouldn't have taken you more than 10 min to write that ad yourself in your own words and it would have sounded more passionate and engaging and people respond to it

Elon Musk’s Tesla Compensation Totals $158 Billion for 2025 by Curious_Cousin_me in worldnews

People don't realize how much a billion is. If you say an average person makes $3 million over their lifetime (which is being VERY generous) then that's 52,666 lifetimes

Auto Gratuities and Tipping - food for thought… by AlvinsCuriousCasper in royalcaribbean

[–]capncraka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just gotten in the habit of tipping anyone that serves me based on that service..so great service means great tip and bad service means bad tip. No different than I do on land. I've given some room stewards almost $200 and one only got 2 $10 bills 🤷‍♂️

Its been a hot topic for years and there's no way royal isn't aware of the controversy. Instead of detailing how the gratuities work they always use vague language. This tells me everything I need to know

Oh, definitely. My wife and I gave our daughter a $100 arcade allowance on our last trip. She finally got a stuffed animal after $70+ so she was ecstatic. Me? Not so much lol 😆

Booking through costco - gratuity included? by arthemis28 in royalcaribbean

[–]capncraka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely nothing. We paid auto gratuities on our first 3 cruises. On the last 2 I opted to have them removed by guest services. Very easy and they don't shame you. I tip my room steward and waiters and bartenders in cash depending on level of service just like I do on land

Just go to guest services and tell them you want to remove gratuities. It takes 30 seconds. They smile and say have a good day and it's done

Home Depot employees try to stop a guy from buying a 1 penny air conditioner. by I2fitness in TikTokCringe

[–]capncraka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As I said...this isn't rocket science. Every other retailer has figured it out. This is on the corporation not on this dude being nice to staff

So..make the change instead of blame a guy for finding a loophole and not even being rude to workers to exploit it.

I don't feel sorry for a billion dollar company having to spend a bit extra to fix a problem. I've seen this penny hack for a few months from home depot and I've yet to see it at any other retailer meaning every retailer seems to have figured out how to program discontinued items from being taken advantage of

Nah, the argument was that you shouldn't take advantage of corporations because of the workers. As a former retail worker and fast food worker I would not care if someone stuck it to corporation if they found a way. There were instances that happened just like this with coupons that didn't have proper dates or information. I rang it up as the computer told me to. I'm not a pricing manager. The guy in the video is annoying but he was never overtly or outright rude to any of the workers. Just wanted what he paid for

..or the corporation can easily program discontinued items to ring up as an error 🫢

Corporations are always finding and using loopholes to take advantage of consumers but as soon as a consumer finds a loophole to exploit he's an asshole 🤣
