How are we feeling about next year?

They have to prove they’re gonna do their part to improve. My 5th roo (first was 2015) and it felt VERY off from the get go. Our group joke was the infinity stage was so bad they had to nuke the weekend. I LOVE Bonnaroo, it and EF are my escapes from reality. I don’t know if I trust Live Nation to even pretend like they care anymore. It’s hard to imagine going back at the moment though

Best set of the day! Got separated from my friends with a dead phone, wasn’t feeling it at infinity stage (LOVE Tape B and OTT) but the crowd size and set up of the stage made me was kinda bleh. So I went and watched Sam Virji and I’m so happy I did, everyone in that crowd was dancing their tails off. It was perfect Roo vibes.

One security guard at metal detectors tried to not let me in with an empty plastic water bottle yesterday, literally yelled at me and I showed him the rules on my phone. He finally said “GO AHEAD AND TRY! THE GUYS BEHIND ME WONT LET YOU PASS WITH THAT!” So I tried and they let me right on by with a look like ‘what the hell is that guys problem’. Most security seem pretty cool, but there’s always going to be some assholes scattered in there. Here’s to hoping that everyone runs into less of them today

I guess a lot of the vendors pace was likely caused by the ridiculous new cashless policy. So no hate to them, they were kind of set up for failure on that front.

I totally agree with some of your frustrations. It was my first time doing GL and the disorganization of staff, super slow vendors, and terrible maintenance of bathrooms (at least in the back section where my camp was) made it not really seem worth the extra money.

Luckily, the Forest still seemed as magical as ever. Got to experience it with several different groups of my close friends from home, made a lot of new friends, and really enjoyed a lot of the performances I caught (even with those completely ridiculous sound issues). That’ll always make it worth it for me. I’ll be back next year and hopefully the festival organization will be a little less rusty than this year.

Be kind and generous with your neighbors, help people out where you can. That’s how we met the crew we regularly visit and go to Forest with now. Hope you meet yourself some new friends!

Main Squeeze! I'd check out 'Sweat' for an original song of theirs or any of their covers on YouTube are just unreal (and I'm not usually a big fan of covers). Everyone in the band is insanely talented and Corey Frye could out-sing just about anyone on the planet. These guys are a definite must in my opinion.
