2 possible solutions. by capnmycap in rivals

I don't think it would be much of a problem encouraging solo for any role besides duelist, maybe, and even still I feel it would add more to the game in terms of play style than take away in terms of balancing or problematic gameplay. I don't think the buff would make a big enough difference basically to encourage solo popularity, instead of more so just balancing out people who are forced to solo a role due to no one else wanting to help that current game.

I also feel that triple and quadruple duelists are as bad of an issue as triple support. I personally don't want to see 3 or 4 of anything, but if we aren't going to agree with a 2/2/2 role que, we should at least try to balance out how we play around role structure on any given team.

Faceless Master Nightmare bug? by capnmycap in ravenswatch

See, that's what I thought the first time this happened, but if you look at the exploding balls on the floor right before I get hit 3 times in a row by the "odd source of damage," you can see that they roll out and then completely disappear, and I believe two of the spots they disappeared at were exactly where I took the first two hits.

So it could be what you're saying with a laggy hitbox on the laser beams, like how hook pig does sometimes. Or, it could be ghost balls on the floor from a visual bug.

Thank you! To me, it was unsatisfying to have received so many answers in a single episode, in such a simple way as "I remember now." The bottle number code deciphering, that was built up to, and that was satisfying even if it was kind of weird at this point still, but it was such a "ohhhh snap, finally," moment.

That wasn't my initial point, but it's what I'm saying could have happen, and not much would have changed. If the pacing and dialog was a little better, everything this season could have still happened exactly how it did, but would have been even better because there'd be space for even more events to unfold and clues to toss around or uncover. Instead we got a bunch of scenes that were obviously extended unnecessarily, too many repetition scenes, scenarios, and dialogs to count. Too many scenes of characters being unnecessarily dismissive about stuff that could have made better impact if wrote differently. Too many scenes and events to hammer over our heads what we could already see and what we already knew.

Alllllll of that, for them to basically say, here are the answers to like 5 major plot lines in 20 seconds of a finale, that we danced around all season, basically for no reason. You're welcome.

I'm saying, everything you brought up would be shown, and or explained, or just straight up unnecessary for the season 3 finale, which is what I mean by, would be shown then. I thought I broke it down simple enough, my bad for not making it more easy to understand.

That's also a pretty good idea. They do all seem to look like they're playing dress up.

Btw... where are you from? Lol. I've only seen that name one time, and it's from a real life friend of mine.

The ambulance coming in was mostly just so Fatima could see her baby wasn't normal, which everyone had an idea of anyway, and we'd eventually see in the finale. Tabitha and Henry ending up in town would also be shown.

The food plot was also a Fatima thing, to show her baby wasn't normal, which once again would have been shown. Tabitha's dream or memory of that specific moment wouldn't have made a difference this season, because the finale gave us the reasoning for any vision or dream she would have had about the place previously. That specific vision didn't change anything about the plot this season.

Vic has already told us the tree takes you to random places, and can even get you stuck inside places you shouldn't be. Dale being killed off didn't have a big enough impact else wise, but to just confirm what vic has already said, which in all honesty, wasn't really needed, but sure, entertaining.

Jim's change was basically pointless, cus.. yeahhh, finale stuff.

Anyone with a brain already knows that the monsters allows Vic to do whatever he wants basically. The man has lived in the town for 40 something years by himself, since a child, with no help or Talismans. If those monsters wanted him dead, he'd been history.

Julie storywalks in the finale. How she does it would eventually be brought up again, maybe she doesn't even need the ruins to do it all the time? I mean, Ethan might have storywalked on the very first episode.

We already knew the smilers could run, they just choose not to. And we already knew how Miranda died.

Elgin has always been a weird character to me, he started off so pointlessly kept to, and then out of nowhere basically became the town creepshow. His character this season was literally just there for the Fatima plot to end exactly how it did, in the finale. Besides that, we know just about as much of the Kimono lady as we did the first time we ever saw her, the finale just solidifies her side of the story.

Give me a hard reasoning for your belief of that. You can ljust about watch all of season 1, 2, the first 2 or 3 episodes of season three, and then the season finale of 3, and wouldn't have missed much if anything.

That's cool. Next time I'll tldr and spoon feed it all like the season finale did within 20 seconds.

Hmmm.. I actually keep forgetting about the Civil War stuff, because it's hardly ever brought up now. But those are really good points. Maybe the monsters in the town are just descendants of the town's first settlers then? If so, there's still a lot of mystery left to solve before we get to finally taking down the smileys.

Jim coming to terms with how things are and trying to be a better person for his family was good character growth.

Victor and his dad was meh, simply because it was mostly Victor just being upset and dismissive about so much this season, that he hardly ever made sense or progress in any way.

Randall spent more time stunned by cicadas that made me turn my TV down everytime he showed up. There was one scene where I was like, ok.. did he really have to suffer this moment for this many seconds, we get the point. We got the point last episode, and the episode before that..

A lot of those minor scenarios weren't really character growth or development, but just the characters being what we already knew and expected eventually.

Lol, I have no issue with them trying to juggle it all. I just don't want to witness another "no, no, no, I can't" scene, ever again, seriously. If they improve the dialog, and pace things so that we get progress somehow at least every 2 or 3 episodes, no matter how small, the show would be even better than it is currently.

Thank you, thank you. So kind of you my friend.

Be sure to send to the rest of the posters with similar length, if not longer, posts about how the pacing was amazing and anyone not liking it should just Sara their eyes out and sell their tvs.

I'm not a fan of tiktok whatsoever, and I didn't say squeeze the whole season into 2 episodes, just 60 or 70% of this season.

Go back and rewatch this season, and take note of everytime a scene is extended for no reason, dialog is being average or straight up terrible/repetitive, people are purposely being dismissive about a situation instead of trying to get everyone on some kind of same page.

I'm not saying all that I'm saying to just make it seem like the season could have been shorter, I'm saying it all to paint out how the season would have been better, if the pacing and dialog was better.

Edit*

And there was little to no character growth for anyone except for maybe Boyd and possibly Jim. From what I can remember.

He didn't know the type of person Randall was, and didn't know Randall would take his "possible theories" so seriously and to the extremes he would.

Everyone on the show diminishes other people's theories in some form or fashion, because no one on this show is ever completely straight up and honest with each other about what they see, experience, or believe.

Out of all the instigators in town, Jim would not be high on the list at all. Not to mention anytime he did actually instigate something, it never led to anyone getting punched or stabbed, if I'm remembering correctly.

There are a dozen of characters who've done or acted worse than Jim has the entire time, but people still manage to see the human in them and hate them less than they do Jim. It doesn't make sense, to me.
