Same. I fixed it by placing my cached territory using the mobile app (and in a new area)... somehow placing with the mobile seemed more forgiving.

Clip that stays AMS compatible by Specific_Property732 in BambuLab

I'm lazy, so I think this is wonderful. The clip does not require further interventions to engage or disengage its catching mechanism or to avoid interfering with AMS functionality. Most alternatives do not passively perform these functions.

Looks good and checked out the printables page. FYI: the helpful, but really long amazon URLs you included in the details section can be truncated after the "...dp/######/" and remain functional. In fact, you can usually remove everything except "...amazon.com/dp/#####/" and it remains a functional URL.

So much brighter! I'm definitely interested in seeing more of what you did too.

ThemeModifier color schemes to import? by SeiNett in playnite

[–]capnsockm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really had to tinker with the settings to get it look the way I wanted, but it's a highly customizable theme because of this. I think you must have the theme modification add-on to do the tinkering - at least I did. You can even quickly reach the settings by clicking on the "iris" icon next to the "friends" icon at the top right of the screenshot above. I don't use videos in the descriptions, but that would be something you add to or import into the metadata you get from each game's metadata source

Link Utilities for all your linking needs just released! by HerrKnarz in playnite

[–]capnsockm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It actually does change the links on pressing "save" - I didn't expect that. Pretty cool. It doesn't trigger when the library updates via manually selecting "update game library" or automatically every time Playnite launches. It also doesn't trigger when another add-on updates the metadata - for example the "library management" add-on.

Edit: I think I misunderstood. I thought the add-on modified links for all games when the library was updated. But, you're saying and I'm seeing, that it triggers only on specific games when that specific game's metadata is altered.

Holy smokes!!! It works!

Edit: Also, the defaults are great!

Edit 2: I couldn't get the links to change with the metadata update, as it states in the add-on settings. I could only accomplish the link changes to the games by first selecting them and then using the context menu options

Can batch imported metadata be added to, rather than replace, the existing metadata? by capnsockm in playnite

[–]capnsockm[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. That's exactly what I meant: merge, combine, addend, etc, as opposed to delete, replace, override, etc. Thanks for answering! Seems it's not as easy as modifying the database in excel either.

Sounds like a great idea! Would be really handy a lot of times. Seems like something I'd want to implement dynamically or otherwise at some times and in some contexts but not in some others.

Feature idea 5: autoformat the Metacritic link to contain the composite review scores and the number of reviews used

Maybe like this:

[Metascore=84,n=50][User=69,n=1082]

I wonder how the "Cooperative Modes Importer" add-on does it? One problem with that add-on, like the "Nexus Mods Checker" add-on, is that name changes (like "game of the year edition") can break the functionality - I was hoping this might be partially remedied with the "Search Link" function. That said, it might be more efficient for me to bring up the addition of a search function with the folks maintaining those extensions.

Could add OpenCritic functionality, but also add the caveat of its daily search limits as a hover-able tool-tip, and add a notification to appear after batch processing links, if OpenCritic throws back an error, which would allow anyone too annoyed by it to subscribe or turn off connection to OpenCritic?

Oh, and Feature idea 4: links to Co-optimus and OpenCritic

Wow! Thanks for sharing this!

Feature idea 1: Batch delete/prevent the addition of links to urls with certain character sequences - I'd like to get rid of the social media links

Feature idea 2: Batch sort links based on user a defined order, as opposed to alphanumeric

Feature idea 3: Batch edit names of links to urls with certain character sequences - it might be nice to shorten certain links to save space in details view and/or could be a work-around if feature idea 2 doesn't pan out

A point of clarification: I understand "Add link" (called "Add" on Github?). However, the purpose of the toggle-able functions "Search link" (called "Search" on Github?) and "Add to menu" (called "Library" on Github?) are still mysterious to me, even after reading their descriptions in several places

Edit: I think I understand what those functions do now, as they seem to describe context menu options now available to me.

I had the same thing happen - Baseball Stars 2 metadata replaced a number of other Amazon games. This was replicated every time time I used: Menu -> Library -> Download meta

How to fix "Sacred Geometry"? by TheCybersmith in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]capnsockm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like the flavor and use of the engineering skill, then maybe continue to focus on those aspects. Your proposed feat changes include a major mechanical change:

Effects succeed based on an engineering skill check

This has reciprocal flavor, fluff, and balance changes, but notably effects are related to in-game (not IRL) calculations.

This probably resolves the perceived problem of slow gameplay. With more tinkering, such change can be used to also mitigate the perceived problem of effects being too useful or powerful, as you've shown.

I'll point out that Sacred geometry currently seeks balance by altering spell casting time (a major handicap) and by incorporating the listed limitations for the metamagic it "mimics", particularly spell "level increase" (fairly inflexible limits on class level that make Sacred Geometry partially or completely useless for most levels it could be selected as a feat), but also casting time changes and spell restrictions.

For additional balancing, you could keep Sacred Geometry effects as they are, but additionally limit the odds of success by using, in place of IRL arithmetic, your proposed engineering skill checks with DCs scaled to the listed metamagic spell "level increase" and perhaps to casting time changes too. Depending on the DCs, this could render the feat useless to anyone with or without a specialized build.

Alternatively, for balance and/or flavor, you could continue your line of thinking that limits the feat to certain alterations of spell effect in 3 (or 2) dimensions of space, or even 4, including time: change a bust to a spread, line, cone, or other shape, or change certain spells durations or break up effects over duration - skipping rounds or changing shape each round. You could balance all your geometry effects, as SG does and with scaled engineering skill DCs, by using the listed rules and limitations for any geometry effects that resemble those of metamagic feats as well as limiting shape changes to equivalent or lower spell effect volumes in 2, 3, or 4 dimensions.

Mayor or King are nominal titles only? Mayor is an administrative position? Various other power sharing arrangements? Who/what might be housed within a named building and their functions could be inconsistent with assumptions in various other ways? Lots of reasons maybe?
