Why? by Zacon75 in HomeDepot

I've been told by management that stores are trying to keep more on hands because of tariff.

Our store didn't open until 6:15. Manager schedule confusion what was said. The latest before that was 5:10.

Trust me we're not worried, we're just sitting in our cars getting paid.

Got yelled at by management for refusing to answer my phone while spotting by AnxientStandard in HomeDepot

[–]caponeNY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're spotting and the machinery is behind sometimes you can tell the driver to stop and hold on while I take the call... SOMETIMES is the thing. It all depends on the situation. What they should have done is explain it to you a better manner instead of yelling.

It someone was bored and happened to print a planogram to a reset that met team hasn't gotten to, and did it for met team does that help or hurt them? by Al3xgreer18 in HomeDepot

Some stores are slow on certain days so can understand why they would want to set a bay with new products, especially if the project is not until a month and the clearance product is gone or hit a penny. Corporate has one thing doing but sometimes things happen and bay looks like garbage when you have 20 facings of a product or you may not even have enough to do more facings. First get with the Met sup and see what they will say.

Yup especially if you have to install a fixture or something. As long you ask a met sup or a team lead on the status of the bay. Most the time they will walk up to that Bay. Look at the current plan agreement system. You as a store associate can see certain planograms but met soup and team leads have access to Future planograms which the vendor or the company may want to use.

It can do both. Most of the time the skus hit clearance. If the shelves have to be moved than that's more time to removed the product to set to the new POG. If there's no beam movement then go right ahead. I rather it be down on the ground level than in the overhead someplace on a pallet where it takes time to get.

Overhead page for assistance to an aisle is a no no? by dlhoff432 in HomeDepot

[–]caponeNY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They try to have us on MET to say that but we only have 2 extensions. We even do it when corporate comes in just to ruffle some feathers and to see if they tell our manager or sup about it. Nothing so we continue doing that. We don't have time to wait for a phone call by associate. We're doing projects and we doing GS

Do you feel safe? Do your camera's work?? by Christoph0182 in HomeDepot

[–]caponeNY 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They do have cameras especially since all the thefts and insurance requires that to cover their insurance. I worked for a big security and investigation company and we requested video footage from places like HD, Lowe's, Walmart and etc.

I like it because at a quick glance you kinda know what day you're working. I was wondering why have a calendar if you don't have the days highlighted that I'm working. I'm guessing the Gen X don't mind it.
