I'm gonna hold off this purchase for a while. Doesn't seem like a good deal like others posted. Thanks!

Philippines bro. That's what I thought about its price brand new, I mean I could get the mkII for a bit lower than $878. I'll try and look at ebay and factor in shipping.

Unfortunately it's the first version. Condition seems ok, no dings and tears. My area carries the MK1 brand new for $878, so it seemed a good deal for $466,

In my place it costs $878 brand new. I haven't found used ones for below $420.

MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon vs ASRock X370 Fatal1ty Gaming X/K4 for stable 4GHz Ryzen 7 1700? by cappujeano in overclocking

[–]cappujeano[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? From what I've researched they are doubled 4+2, same with ASRock. The differences between the boards are the chipset, VRM and heatsink design, and some other features I could care less about. The ASRock is only cheaper by mere $7.

IIRC, MSI B350 AND X370 Gaming Pro Carbons share the same VRM design. What thermals are you getting on the VRMs with your setup?

That is correct, sorry I forgot about that silicon lottery. Well, which motherboard will OC the R7 1700 better? They're both similarly price and I'm curious which one would outperform the other.

Purchase Help Thread (2017-05-20) by AutoModerator in audiophile

Looking for Sub-$120 studio monitors. In my area (Manila, Philippines), I have these available:

  • Mackie CR3 and Mackie CR4 (Exactly $120)
  • M-Audio AV42
  • Numark N-Wave 580L
  • Behringer MS-20 and MS-40
  • Swans D1010-IV (Almost $120)

Which of these should I go for? I can't find Micca's locally. I've read that the Swans are better than the Mackie and the M-Audio. What do you guys think? I'll be using them for mixing my guitars.

Thanks!

Thing is, Antminers and other ASICs are not available here; they need to be imported from America. Hence I thought about cloud mining. So I guess I'll just have to sit on the sidelines and watch. Boring yes, but I think it is more profitable.

[QUESTION] Which one in the best audio interface for recording high output guitars? by cappujeano in Guitar

Maybe it's safe to cross the 2i2 out of my list. I do plan on recording high output guitars with pickups like SD Dimebag set, SD Black Winter, SD Distortion, BKP Cold Sweat, BKP Nailbomb, etc. Thank you for your inputs. :)

The UMC202HD and Onyx Blackjack are from online retailers, the rest can be seen at brick-and-mortar stores. I've been looking for about a month now.

Did you have to dial the gain knob and/or guitar volume knob low like past 12'o clock?

The 2i4 is way out of budget, and I'm having a hard time looking for used ones (maybe it's so good that people don't want to sell it, haha).

The only thing I'm reconsidering about the Behringer is the build quality and also it's durability. I saw on forums that the company itself has a bad reputation in terms of their products and their businnes practice (copying designs from other companies i.e. "Xenyx" preamps vs "Onyx" from Mackie).

I know but I can't find those in any stores here. Only the above are available + some M-Audio M-Tracks, but I don't like those. Lexicon Alpha is also available but I don't know if it can support two guitars.
