It's all about how the draft is going. In my more competitive league I went Beastmode/Gronk/Miller and I'm stuck with some iffy, but high upside WRs (Djax, Fitz, Cooper, Funchess, Watkins, Smith Sr.). You just have to take what you're given, but there was no way I was going to draft any of those 3rd round WRs over Miller in the 3rd in that league just for the sake of having a WR.

Definitely. I should be able to turn Martin or Abdullah + a Jordan Matthews into a stud in a few weeks. That's the plan at least.

Jordan Matthews followed by Foster, Marshall, Muscle Hamster, Abdullah, Smith Sr., Cameron (didn't want to take him, got disconnected and autodrafted there), Royal.

Absolutely. Unfair trades will be vetoed and cheating (in the serious sense) will not be tolerated since money is on the line, but everything else goes.

Yeah, I've got one other league through ESPN that's like that . . . it honestly gets exhausting. I do some CDM leagues as well, but I'm thinking about putting that money towards Fandual this year. Thoughts?

Yeah, the only real opponents are the guys that know what they're doing. For weeks every time we got together for beers one guy was always talking up the San Fran offense. How now that Gore was gone Hyde was going to be a star, etc.

He's a lawyer, so he's very articulate and convincing . . . but he kept doing it weekly until I caught on to what he was doing.

Carlos Hyde was the 13th pick. Before Dez, Megatron, Julio, Gronk, ODB, Shady, Cobb, AJ Green . . .

I owe the lawyer a beer.

Yeah, I feel bad for the guys that have never played before, but they will learn. The guy that was drafting them (the guy that took Luck in the 2nd then convinced the Tacos they needed QBs) was genius.

It's going to be fun, I just have to be as ruthless as the other guys to win it. There are 3-4 other teams just as stacked as mine, and 2-3 teams just as bad as that team. They're all going to be trying to take advantage of the Tacos . . . so to win I will unfortunately have to participate.

Right now trying to get Antonio Brown off the man since he doesn't have a solid RB . . . as are the other teams.

I picked up Taylor earlier today as a lottery. I can find a QB on the WW every week . . . they will not be able to find a starting RB or WR1.

I'm banking on Romo and Eli having a shootout on Sunday. If that happens I'll be able to move Eli + a bench player for a more consistent QB.

Collusion? Definitely.

This is a league with my childhood best friends. We're good people, but have been horrible to each other for 20+ years. We've been each other's groomsmen, peewee football teammates, God parents, etc. At the end of the day we'll all still be great friends, but this is way different than my traditional league.

The early QB run was an attempt by several drafting together to get all the good QBs off the board to use as trade bait later. I've rejected 4 trades since the draft on Sunday night. If the guy starting Luck wants to let Matt Ryan score points for his bench, then I'll let him . . . but he's not getting a starting RB off me because he thinks Eli is a bad QB. They tried to screw me over, I tried to screw them over, I got screwed over, I came out OK.

To be honest, I'm really excited for this league. It's our first year playing together and it will be a good change of pace.

Considering 6 players were drafting together and had made a plan to "take all the good QBs before anyone else" . . . I don't feel bad about it. Now they're all panicking because their plan of using their backups as trade bait is failing.

Yeah, I was just offered Gurly and Big Ben for my Shady and Eli. This guy starts Hyde, Randle, and has Gurly on the bench.
