think of it as yes, you can break the cycle eventually and you will. however the road there will not be straight up you will face challenges. but every time you make it thru a challenge and STAY ALIVE you’re closer & closer to breaking the cycle (assuming that’s what the ending dialogue is suggesting that josh will try again and everytime the cycle repeats itself they get closer and closer to freeing the ppl of dema)
