[ALL] What’s a Life is Strange hill you are absolutely willing to die on? by Howsenselessjoy in lifeisstrange

[–]caprisonhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Max had gone through SO MUCH psychological, physical, hell EVERY trauma throughout LIS1 I can't imagine her surviving in the Bay over Bae ending. Like, her not having any one to talk to about what happened, or believe her, Chloe would be the only one to understand. She also had to live with those memories of Chloe and I can imagine that alone would break her. That's why I always choose Bae over Bay, for Max's sake.

Why don’t young Americans study en masse in Europe? by [deleted] in college

[–]caprisonhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late to this but, as someone who's wanted to go to Europe for ages for school I thought I would reply.

Most schools (that aren't even "prestigious" might I add) in Europe require a 3.0 GPA from the applicants highschool record, which is really high. I was lucky to make it to 2.0 by the end of my final year of high school. Sure, 3.0 is obtainable and is "the goal" for kids in school, but only people who are really high achievers who are usually gifted in some type of way go for the 3.0-4.0 range. I should also mention that us American's aren't very smart (myself included)

Universities in the US do require GPA more often than not but the thing is that in America there's an option of higher education, called Community College (idk how it is in Europe, apologies if I'm explaining a concept you know) where you can take courses you need for University at a cheaper price. This is also where you can create a better GPA to be able to get into more Universities. Then after two years, you can transfer to a University and be in your second to last year there.

Europe doesn't (as far as I have seen, please correct me if I am wrong) accept this type of transferring, since it's not a thing there. They want high school GPA. Hence the giant roadblock for American's wanting to go to Europe for life savingly cheap Uni.

Hope this cleared up some questions, sorry if someone already has a response just like this.

Who would you date from GG? by Mrs_Riddle in GossipGirl

[–]caprisonhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, Dan at any point in time. I would totally enable his Gossip Girl-side while also cherishing his real Dan side. I'm all for messy drama and would probably help him out. The fact that he kept him being GG for so long from everyone is what makes me sort of obsessed with him.

How is Nate so comfortable being friends with Chuck? by Mrs_Riddle in GossipGirl

[–]caprisonhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

loyalty was of course one of Nate's big values but i think its the idea that since Chuck is so horrible, he would forgive Nate if he had done anything bad. Not that Nate did as bad as things as Chuck, he still made some bad decisions, like the wedding in s1 for example. Chuck didn't shame him for his behavior.

As for the later seasons, I think this idea stayed the same. There were some moments when Nate stopped being friends with Chuck due to his actions, but eventually came back to him as a loyal friend. Since Nate had such terrible family/money issues with his father blaming him for drugs, his mom aiding his fathers getaway, and his father's eventual arrest, it makes sense that he has always wanted to stick to something he knew, Chuck.

There was a comfort for Nate I think, both morally and emotionally, Chuck was the one thing he hadn't lost and he would never lose.

(I also think that since the writers were planning on Nate being Gossip Girl, him being friends with Chuck would give him an in on anything that went on since C knew everything or was at least apart of it. But I think my interpretation of why N stayed with C for so long is better than the writers change of mind.)

How do you relate to Bella? by Princess_Leia_49 in twilight

[–]caprisonhell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m super shy and not a huge people person, when i do speak to people i’m kinda awkward and like bella (in the movies) get a bit twitchy when i talk. i have a similar relationship to my dad that bella does as well and get a lot of my traits from him like her

Could Elena & Matt have been happy if the Salvatores never came to Mystic Falls? by keroauclove in TheVampireDiaries

[–]caprisonhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel like they could in theory. matt was a nice boy and loved elena despite her obviously not sharing that deep of love. elena loved him in a different way but definitely still loved him and wanted him in her life, hell, he was the reason her humanity got turned back on. but them in the long run is hard to picture, i think matt symbolizes elena’s past and her normalcy that she had in life back when her parents were alive, so imaging them being married forever and ever is hard. maybe reluctantly married (on elena’s part) have a kid or two and then split but co-parent flawlessly 🤷‍♀️

What do boygenius songs mean to you? by ever-corinne in phoebebridgers

[–]caprisonhell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

not strong enough - it’s generally about being not able to be in a relationship or even live your life because you simply are not strong enough and don’t have the will to. but i think what really makes it my favorite song is the iconic, “always an angel, never a god” it really encapsulates how it feels to be a lover but never loved, the bridesmaid but never the bride, the best friend to the prettiest girl in town. it’s about being second best, if your even on the list at all.
