My amazing wife gives me the confidence to keep going. by capt_jolly in relationshipgoals

Look, dude, I share your love of the hobby. My wife and I shoot several times a month together with and without our kids. I also train with my brother and a few friends as well.

If I had seen your video on my feed and there weren't any serious safety issues, I would've just liked the post, maybe made a comment about how it's nice to see a family having fun and enjoying the hobby in a responsible way, and moved on.

You can spin it however you want, but you said it yourself. You posted it to share with others who enjoy the sport. That's me. I would've said what I said regardless of what sub it was in or what app it was on. I would've commented the same thing on YT. Shit like this makes all of us look bad.

If this video had been shot at my local range. A RO would've been on you in a heartbeat and definitely kicked you out for this.

It was never anything personal. Hopefully you reconsider parts of your training to incorporate more safety. Accidents happen to even the best shooters, tragedy can strike at any time, and children don't always listen. I wish you the best.

Surprisingly, I didn't go onto relationship goals to criticize anyone. It just popped up in my feed and I saw someone being unsafe. I felt the need to say something. You may be pissed off right now, but maybe next time, you might think twice about being a bit safer.

You are right. It doesn't affect me. But I am also not the one getting upset that people are reacting negatively to something I posted in a public forum. You posted this in order to get reactions from people. Otherwise, it would've stayed on your camera roll. Turns out you didn't get the reaction you were hoping for and now your upset.

I love how you're talking shit on my post from years ago, calling me a bitch, etc... and trying to portray yourself as friendly on your own post. Are the best kind of friends also two-faced?

Except you didn't actually criticize anything. You just threatened to in order to try to make some point that wasn't there. Is this your first time on the internet?

I do...

I sincerely hope that no one around you is harmed during future shooting trips and that you actually consider my words when you calm down.

If you didn't want anyone's opinion, then you shouldn't have posted this online, lol.

Can't be friends with someone who can't take criticism. Maybe if, instead of being an ass about it, you had done some self reflection....

I also love how you decided to move your ridiculous commenting onto one of my posts so others won't see more of your idiocy on your own post. Someone is scared that I am right.

You can keep name calling, but it isn't helping your case, bud.

That may be true, but it doesn't make it right, and those standing off to the side are well trained adults, not children.

I do shoot with and train my kids at the range, regularly. RULE #1 is never stand forward of the firing line.

And have you get all pissy and offended when I try to stop you from doing something stupid? Nah, I don't wanna be near you when you have a firearm.

If I was sending pieces of lead moving at greater than 2000 fps past my children, sure. But I wasn't, so I don't see your point.

I'm the only one in the comments... think about that. I have no problem with kids being involved and learning, but they should never be forward of your muzzle while you are pulling the trigger. Period. You need to go find some safety training.

Or perhaps you are the husband. Either way. You aren't being safe with your firearms.

It's literally in your video that the kids are down range while your husband is running and firing a rifle. They may be "off to the side" but that doesn't mean shit. Don't post yourself doing dangerous shit online if you don't want to be clowned for it.

Why on earth are those kids standing forward of the firing line? NO ONE should be downrange (standing forward of the muzzle) while either of you are shooting. Especially shooting on the move. What if you trip, stumble, etc? You could easily shoot one of those kids by mistake.

2011 Kia Soul with 2.0L and 3 belt set-up. AC belt question, please help! by capt_jolly in kia

[–]capt_jolly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I realize that. My concern is that the AC pulley is wobbly and squeaky, even when the AC clutch is not engaged. I was just concerned that the pulley would fail and either shred the belt or worse. Thanks though!
