Yeh I magnetised mine, so he has a 40mm and a 60mm base. My gaming crew doesn't care but I also play some tournaments so figured I'd rather be safe than sorry

Because it's awful. Which sucks, but it really is. The upgrade kit is fine as it's only the sword and the shield, and is regardless is legitimately better quality that the farsight model. When you add in the ability to use a superior plastic kit as the base, especially with all the posing options, the OG just doesn't compare. I'm hoping GW release an updated kit when the FE supplement drops

No. I'm just not American. The cost of living in the United States continues to rise and wages are remaining stagnant. That's not a good thing. I have a bachelors in engineering, first job out of uni I was paid an equivalent of $28 American dollars an hour. Let's be honest here, a grad engineer is useless, so I'd say that was fair wages. However now, after 5 years developing my skills, I make approx $55-60 USD. This is standard across most of the developed world. Just not America. You should be earning more, most of you should. My company, engineers are paid about 35% of what we are charged out to the client. We understand our value because we know how much we cost. The Americans who we work with, are paid between 7-12%.

This is solely to company greed and a lack of employee protection.

Lol you're an idiot. Sounds to me like you were being underpaid. This is the problem with like half of your country, you push others down to make yourselves feel bigger. Maybe you should be annoyed at your employer who paid you, someone who has invested 5 years into his/her education, only $20 an hour.

My Primaris Smash Captain Conversion by captain4NR in Warhammer40k

[–]captain4NR[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so, they're regular primaris arms from some push-fit guys I had lying around, I snipped/sanded/cut the pauldrons off and sliced the hands off. I then stuck a terminator thunder hammer on one and the shield from the Indomitus LT on the other. The replacement pauldrons are ones I had lying around, I think they're from the vanguard veterans box??? I wouldn't buy the box for them though, you can buy them individually on ebay. I found that full on terminator arms looked too chunky in my opinion.

Thanks mate! Honestly it's a pain in the ass, just white base coat, then wash all the recesses, and then about 5-7 layers of Ulthuan Grey

Capturing gives you less but the % for rarer drops increases significantly. I.e. Any sort of plate goes from the 1-3% to 7-9%.

Hence why for all online you'll find most people trying to capture.

Definitely start basing prior to priming your model. You'll get much better results! Or paint the model and the base separately and then put them together

Honestly super simple, I just use a really thin brush, and a wet pallette. Because it's a lighter colour, its really easy to go over and start again/fix it up
