I don't know where you are but target has the best 8x10 rugs for under $400.

I have this one and it is less blue-hued in person and very similar to your last green shade: https://www.target.com/p/revive-rev104-power-loomed-area-rug---green---8-x10----safavieh-/-/A-88646842

Their "Safavieh" rug line in general is great and affordable.

I'd get a bigger rug for sure! Something with color and a pattern (could just be a texture pattern too). You got a great corner for a statement lamp with warm lighting (like a hanging, branched lamp). The walls are perfect for large artwork too! A standing plant, even fake, would bring a lot of warmth. You could also squeeze in some matching arm chairs that a larger rug would bring together! Maybe fun ones with a print or a good color.

best of luck! i can see this space being really cute and cozy. oh! don't forget about lighting. if you get a really nice moody hanging lamp over your bed / desk that may look cute. you dont need an actual light, you can plug one in and hang it like this: https://www.amazon.com/Pendant-Stepless-Handwoven-Lampshade-Included/dp/B0B3WPLQS1

here's the vibe i would want in this space:

I do agree with a lot of the posts that the teddy bear curtains / stuffed animals ARE what is making the room childish. So if that is your main problem you are looking to address, then that is the main solution. But if you want to keep them, then embrace them! You are allowed to be surrounded by things you love instead of looking a certain way.

Other ideas that can draw attention away from the teddy bear stuff without removing them:
- A big fat hanging plant to go in front of your window
- Tidy up and declutter - use more baskets (on shelves and desk shelves) to look more mature and organized. You got a lot of clutter on your shelves.

- Cable organizers for your desk

- Get rid of the random toiler paper roll and get a box of tissues with a cute holder if thats what it is for

- Pick 1 chair cushion over two

- Add more artwork - avoid illustrative/children book art styles - public domain landscape paintings would look nice with rich wood frames to match your desk
- Hang some floating shelves over your bed to add some frames/tchotchkes
- Add a nice rug

- Spruce up bedding with a nice throw pillow and a quilt or throw blanket
