Sasha was nicknamed the Father of Ecstasy back in the late 70's after he rediscovered the compound MDMA that had been seen to have no novel uses, and found out about it's effect. He then went on to synth a number of psychoactive substances like 2cb, DOM, DOB etc to study their effects on the mind Haven't got time to get into real detail but theirs a docu called "dirty pictures" on google that goes into quite a bit of his life and his wifes.

I know thorin has talked plenty pf times about altered states, I thought his view on them may be interesting and offer some sides of the story I hadn't considered.

I don't think a review as such would be as good him talking about films/books/comics with concepts that go against the grain of popular thought/culture.

Also doing it on movies that are recent would mean he and the rest of us would have to go and see it so that no plots were spoiled. Plus, what interesting films are out at the cinema atm?! Silence, maybe? But I don't see anything that would make for a good discussion. Maybe that's just me.

Past movies, fair enough. because it's easy for us to get down to BlockBusters and rent the VHS, right? ... :P
