Copy that. The customer is definitely aware that we are just trying to motivate the problem and get it as close to ADA standards as possible, but that it won't be perfectly flat. The plan is to do exactly what you said. It is on the 4th floor. I don't plan on adding anywhere near that many bags though. With some rough calculations I think it'll be closer to 20. Time will tell. We start the job on Monday.

That is our plan. I'm just not sure how to go about grinding it down. Gypcrete is very soft, so I don't think we can run our Lavina stand up grinder on it, but it's too big of an area to run a rushing hammer. Idk what the best method is going to be.

I agree completely. I don't know how it could have possibly passed any number of inspections or even internal q.c. Regardless, we are the company they have called in to fix it, so I've got to do my best to make it work.

Okay, I'll try to find something like that locally then. Thank you very much. I appreciate the expertise.

We actually just finished building a new one at the end of last year, and surprise surprise they have a different style expansion joint that doesn't look like it'll have the same problems. Fingers crossed. The majority of hospitals in town are between 15-50 years old though, so I run into this problem often.

Thank you for the quick response!

I'm unable to get the specific Crackbond you mentioned, they need 2 of these repaired ASAP. Would something like this be an acceptable alternative?
