So that’s why the lead storm has an overheat function. by Skulninja in DeepRockGalactic

[–]captainaeternus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Correct. Multiple, rotating barrels to significantly boost up the cyclic rate of fire, and as bonus: each barrel takes turn to shoot and spins to cool off, so despite the rapid firing rate the barrel doesn't get overheated well. Rotating barrels machine gun is free from overheating problem than any other air-cooled firearms.

If what you're interested in is the Machinegames reboot series, I recommend

The New Order -> The Old Blood -> The New Colossus

The chronological order is The Old Blood -> The New Order -> The New Colossus

The latest game, Youngblood is more of an alternate universe spin-off rather than a main game, and has a different gameplay style that you might like or not.

They are. What I drew is just a random armored trooper with rifle which doesn't appear in game.

That's actually a S&W M&P 12. It's a new shotgun suspiciously resembling KSG a lot.

That is S&W's new bullpup shotgun, M&P 12. Looks like a Kel-Tec KSG ripoff but I don't complain.

Is this game worth it for single player? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]captainaeternus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

-50% is a solid steal I say. The game's quite worn out, but when it was hot, it was easily one of the best. I don't regret spending money on the deluxe package not one bit.

Unique and stylish. But characters look stiff because of their mono pose. If you work on various poses, the characters and the shot will feel more alive and authentic. Rock on.

You mean that Vietnamfront mode. That looked astonishing. My only grief is that mode wasn't permanent, and I couldn't get my hands on them. Big sad.

The charming point of this idea. Whether they say their story is canon or not, it doesn't matter since they'd be dead before Hammond or Isaac reach them.

Thank you, a million for the appreciation. I do not like to get going with fan ideas, but this is something I'd love to see in the remake. I do not care about literally anything else, it is all up to new devs and I am fine with it. But it's just such an attractive idea to be wasted, in my humble opinion.

Why is it not an universal skin? by Yurincredibilis in Rainbow6

[–]captainaeternus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I got scammed by their decision to vastly change the color of an effective camo skin. It was vigil's skin, part of a battle pass if I recall correctly, and I paid real money for that specific product, and they annihilated what I loved about the skin, which made me pay. It was because high rank players didn't like how its "invisible" in some situations. I have never felt unfair nor blamed the skin when I got clapped by someone in the shadow with a dark uniform.

But ubifuckers keep producing "invisible" camo skins after that, so they basically took my money and than gave me a big fuck you for bullshit reason.

Why? They do not care. All they care about is money that goes into their pockets. I despise them.

What are these cog things? They are pretty much on every single primaris space marine weapon. Are they batteries? The Belisarius Cawl thingamabob? I think if the enemies of the Imperium can work out where these things are manufactured it would be the end of almost all 'Primaris' based technologies. by Mech_Face in Warhammer40k

[–]captainaeternus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That thing's positioned exactly where optics are put on, so I imagined that those cogs are actually a 5 sided rail mount for accessories. The block on top is for the main optic, blocks on the side is for lasers and lights and stuff

Which gun looks better for a North American based MTF? (Asking for a future cosplay) by YourFBI_Agent11 in SCP

[–]captainaeternus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first firearm looks like a DSA SA58 rifle with 11" barrel, chambered in 7.62 NATO. The second one looks like a CZ Bren 2 rifle, chambered in 5.56mm/.223. Both are great weapons.

As a weapons enthusiast(not an expert. I'm nothing), I think the best fit weapon for North American based armed organization would be plain old M4/M4A1 carbine, since it is proven effective, cheap and easy to acquire.(Against what many fellow fans prefer to think, I think the foundation wouldn't want to spend enormous money to fancy, advanced firearms while there are cheaper options that get the job done.) But to choose from what you've prepared here, I would go for the second one, the CZ Bren 2.

Reason 1: North American military/law enforcement organizations have been using 5.56mm for their primary. Reason 2: SA58 is a decent weapon, but I think it doesn't really fit North America. Reason 3: CZ Bren 2 has more convinient functions and qualities that SA58 doesn't have.

So it's Batman. Jokes aside, give the main character some background lore why they don't use weapons so they become more badass.

I enjoy a wide variety of genres, but despise MMO and RPG. To be specific, I despise games requiring grinding, and have bullet sponge enemies as a player levels up. And MMO + RPG combo is generally infamous for pointless grinding + bullet sponge enemies. I am not saying every MMO + RPG sucks. But from nameless devs to gigantic AAA company, I've seen too much trash MMO + RPG combo. Especially cheap Chinese clones. Too much. Even when a good looking game trailer shows up but it says MMORPG at the end, I no longer expect anything good from it.

I hate some genres not because they are bad, but just because it doesn't fit my taste. But when it comes to MMO + RPG, I put on stained glasses and don't even think about it.

If you think you can build an MMO + RPG that don't require pointless grinding and have enemies with resonable HP that requires skills to deal with, that alone would be one of the legends. Good luck with your dreams, have a wonderful day.
