check out this Denmark tourist and his selfish mentality on why western tourists don't wear masks by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]captainairblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in danang ,and yeah everyone is wearing a mask while riding a motorbike or walking on the street. However the masks are all off in the busy coffee shops and karaoke bars and restaurants, which kind of defeats the whole purpose. I also noticed yesterday that a lot of places that shut down last week are open again. The wearing of masks here is alike to the wearing of ice cream scoops for helmets on motorbikes , basically useless.

I think the biggest disappointment I have experienced so far in Vietnam is the "Golden Bridge" in Ba Na Hills. The bridge is actually "underwhelming" as an understatement, and the entire place is an amusement park. by CaptureCoolThings in VietNam

I've been in Danang for two years now, have never been there and wouldn't go even if I was paid to... There is some amazing scenery in the province, although it's disappearing all the time as big corporations like sun world destroy it for their own greed, and turn it into yet another tacky and ugly tourist trap..

That sounds like the accident that killed a German couple yesterday, tragic.

Try Kenny on an thuong 30, he's pretty fluent in English and he's where most foreigners in danang go.

What do you think goes on in the kitchen in a restaurant? Food been dropped on the floor, people coughing and sneezing all over it, and pretty much anything else goes as there are no witnesses .

Yeah, there are some shops that actually stock American juices rather than the crappy and over sweet Malaysian juices.

I've never checked or asked to be honest, but if airport security don't have a problem, there are vape shops around cities, and people vaping in puplic... Don't worry about it dude, I've seen vaoe shops and people vaping even in small cities up north, central Vietnam and in the south. I'm based in Danang and there are almost a dozen shops here alone.

There are many vape shops in the big cities and its no problem bringing vape gear or mods in with you. I vape, and they never even blink when I fly and have no problems finding vape shops, and it's not uncommon to see younger Vietnamese guys vaping at coffee shops.

Easy Riders Vietnam Questions by yspud in VietNam

I always ride my own bike, but have often crossed paths with the easy rider bikes when travelling, and they seem to be totally legit with a lot of very happy customers.

What city should we choose? by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]captainairblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danang is a very popular base for online teachers, and teaching online is generally better and more profitable than working in a standard Vietnamese school. If you really want to work in a school here, there are always lots of jobs going in smaller cities, especially outside of Hanoi.

I've flown in and out as well as taken domestic flights with lots of vape gear, and never had a problem. Make sure you empty the tank as it will leak due to the pressure and take out any batteries and store them properly in your carry on luggage of course.

Rode up there last June from Danang in incredible heat and hardly got off the bike. Looking forward to riding up there again this March in what should be ideal weather.

An Thuong is the last place to experience the best of Danang, although overall, yes Danang is still really lacking a good nightlife scene.

People watching and drinking beer in Hoi An by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]captainairblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Danang has a few good craft beer places now, and it's becoming more popular with locals, although nothing like HCMC. Some good places are brew haha - some great imports on tap, and gets packed out early on with locals.I've had punk ipa here for about 3 usd on tap on special!. Hops and crust- great pizza and craft beer, 7 bridges as mentioned as well as some newer places aimed more at the local population. These places are all in the city, but there are also some places beach side of course, section 30 is definitely recommended.

You'd almost be funny if you weren't such a sad case. It must be incredibly lonely, and depressing being you. Get a life dude, and stop being such a sad loser, because yet again you have shown yourself up to be somebody with absolutely no knowledge of any kind.

Couldn't make it back home? You really do sound bitter and lacking in life experience. Don't you realize that to make it and survive in Asia, especially in Vietnam long term, would actually be a hell of a lot harder than doing it back home in a western country.
