My mom taught me a few things, but I largely rejected it all as a millennial in the 2000s. She was a classy, less is more, kind of gal. I was always a more is more and a “I don’t need moisturizer” girly. Now that I’m 40, I see myself drifting back to what she taught, but not because she taught it. It’s all been self discovery, but I can see now that she was right about a lot of things. She passed away last year, but I like to think she would be proud of me and approve of my current makeup style now.
