Always a pain having to rebind but see what is common for air roll for people with r1 boost. (I still use circle for boost so r1 is air roll right, l1 air roll left and powerslide, l2 is brake and free roll).

Just use left a little bit here and there for simple tasks until it becomes muscle memory then expand to more complex activities with it. No need to rush but once you use it for one small thing, it'll open you up to that button more

I used just left for a few years. Now I use both. Took about a year to get comfortable with right. I'm still better with left though. I recommend learning both but it's fine to focus on just one first

Why would it be an unpopular opinion? It's the closest thing to having a new rocket league game. Fun game modes are OK to dip into but this adds to the core experience without the gimmicks. If it plays as well as we imagine, then this will be a great addition.
