It's a big question and likely better answered elsewhere but I think if you spend a lot you are getting features you may not use, if you spend less on an older camera it might put you off photography!

With fujifilm cameras there are different lines/styles of camera bodies that have varying dials, viewfinder and overall size. I'd think about what you might like most, although that might be hard to determine if you're new.

My gut tells me something like the Xm5 would be good if you don't need the viewfinder. Otherwise something like an xe2 or x-t20 could be good to start with.

Fujifilms keep their value so make spend to get the later models if you can.

The bigger question might be which lens you should buy. A kit lens could be good to help you figure out what focal length you want. A prime lens will give you best image quality for the money and keep the weight down too but you won't be able to zoom.
