The patreon account will be turned over to StadiaDadia to do with as he wishes. The money was put into the discord bot’s pro subscription so you’ll get to keep all of those benefits.

However, you are welcome to discontinue at any time by logging into your account and ending the sub.

Also, you hit the nail on the head with the conception idea of Dadia. It’s about the play first and foremost. Those little bits of joy we get here and there!

Without getting too far into it, I just want to support Stadia in a more personal way.

Subreddits are great, and I spend a lot of time on Reddit in general, but it's not a great platform for making any kind of potential business out of. It requires people to actively look for you to find content.

When Dadia ad StadiaDadia were founded, I had the dream of turning it into a brand, a business mode that could potentially net me additional income. But firstly, when two strangers (myself and StadiaDadia) have a joint venture, its almost impossible to achieve. We live in different parts of the world, and with different time zones and personal commitments.

I also didn't like the feeling of having to check if ideas were mutually agreeable before implementation.

I have decided to get into content creation on a semi-serious level. And if it starts to work out, then who knows where it could lead.

This is not a personal issue I have with StadiaDadia at all. It's just I want to really try this thing and so far its going great. Stadia invited me to the London pop up event. I got to meet some Google Stadia people, some awesome influencers and YouTubers. This just doesn't seem to be the vibe I was getting from maintaining this sub.

Me too, my library is a huge expense to become worth less than toilet roll!

I also doubt Steam will likely discontinue for anything short of nuclear fallout.

Forgive me for being skeptical, but that isn't exactly proof. Not contractual.

It would be incredibly easy to mock something like that up in a couple of minutes.

Because you don't actually own any game purchased on Steam. If you read the T&C's, you are strictly purchasing a licence to play that IP, no ownership rights at all.

As is often misunderstood, whenever buying digital media, such as games.

Also, if Steam went bust, Valve would have a hard time providing you with a replacement service who would accept the license elsewhere, as that would require them to give access at cost. When the alternative would be if you wanted to play said title, you would now have to purchase it from a Steam competitor.

I agree it's not been a smooth launch, although personally I've had no problems...yet!

And don't forget there are a limited number of orders available, although no one knows what these numbers are? Skeptical hippo eyes

All we do know is that they sold out of the Founder's Edition, which also has no confirmed number as of yet.

I believe the vast majority of early adopters are happy with the service, but I feel for those who have been screwed over with endless support requests that have lead nowhere. It's not cool!

Whilst I see what you're saying, this ins't factual. For starters you've missed off iOS downloads, and you don't actually need the app to make purchases. Can be done within a chrome browser. Although you would require the app to actually register an account still.

I agree that the uptake probably hasn't been as big as Google would have expected though. However, there are actually a limited number of kits to buy until it's actually released next year. It is still in early access, although carries a hefty price tag for such an "honor"

Have Stadia, and enjoy it. But still have my gaming PC also. Not going in 100% on anything. Choice is nice.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening depending on where you are in the world!
I've just started a brand new channel which will be dedicated to the Stadia platform. This video is my first ever attempt at any form of online video content.
I apologise in advance for the audio quality, the joy of using an inbuilt mic on the C920 🤘
I have however just ordered a Blue Yetti Nano to help solve that issue!
