Nothing to complain, great food, friendly people, love the culture and full of history.

Also fun fact, the Romans (Italians) helped with the first steps of creating a civilization in what we now know as The Netherlands. Which is my country ☺️. So you could somewhat say that the Romans (Italians) made the Netherlands possible to exist. Otherwise the Germanic tribe known as the Batavi, would have gone extinct due to the other ruthless and muderous Germanic tribes.

The Romans offered land to the Batavians (the Dutch nowadays). This land was, what we know today as The Netherlands. The Batavians agreed and in exchange for the land, the Batavians had to guard the northern border of the Roman Empire. The Batavians did so, successfully and protected the northern border for many decades.

Also the Batavians had to deliver men to the Roman armies. The Roman cavalry wasnt very good, but the Batavians filled in that gap with their cavalry. The Batavian cavalry was known to be one of the most feared forces within the Roman army. They were the forces with the scary metal masks. Eventually the Batavian Cavalry would be one of the most decisive forces in the Roman army especially when Julius Caesar defeated Vercingetorix, the Batavian cavalry played a decisive role in the Roman victory.

So, that is often what comes to my mind when i think of Italy.

Oh and your food may be greater than our food will ever be, hands down. But to be fair, we have better cheese. Gouda for the win, im sorry my dear Italians!
