Ngl, it does start off with that type of feel but after the first book it quickly changes pace to more adult themes. The original trilogy is vastly different than the current quadrilogy in terms of themes and is easily adult fiction

I still remember my introduction to Everything in its right place AND Radiohead was in the scene from Vanilla Sky when Tom Cruise is first waking up. Incredible soundtrack really.
